Well done - just done mine 2 after my SP 2011 tariff finished. Quite stressful deciding who to go with isn't it.

Glad you've had a fantastic weekend and how cute is your dog!
I can't be bothered updating this anymore

well done on the program, must be a good one :)

I agree with seeing people with better houses spurs me on too but also on the other hand I get frustrated with people that arent even trying to get somewhere in life and happily just plodding along paying council rent when they just as easily either buy the house they are in or eleswhere. I pleaded with my sister to buy her house 10 years ago but i think the stability of having the council behind her if she were not working or if things needed fixing were too great a risk to give up.

It gives me hope for happiness for myself when I see someone who has achieved though, as everyone seems so depressed nowadays :s

Hey Iris- hope your little one is doing well:) I agree its hard to choose...I decided to go with the cashback as a priority tho it worked out well both ways and u don't feel like you benefit as well over a whole year, anyway I 'should' save £17 a month in direct debits (think I will owe on my old supplier tho so that will have to be paid first) so thats a gain straight away.

Pammy I agree but I guess some people strive to achieve more whether they little or loads and some people chose not to, sometimes those that work hard don't get rewarded unfortunately and vv. I think people have different principles too I used to go out with someone who didn't want to work and I used to get so frustrated when he always went off sick or didn't turn up knowing he'd get sacked but didn't care as then he could sign on again. He used to say whats the point having a mortgage, if u get sacked the government don't pay your mortgage but they pay your rent! I always wanted more than him, if he was given more he'd waste it!

We have made some solid plans tho, finally, if things go to plan we shall be booking a big family holiday feb 2013 and trying for a baby from there:j:j:j so happy now as I feel I can make solid plans, if things happened straight away I will leave work september for maternity leave and I will be able to take and pick up my little girl from school when she starts so I'm not forever the absent mum. Should I be unable to stick it out we will scale down the holiday and go from there, at least the mortgage will be alot smaller as long as I can try and get to the end of the year :)

Applied for a credit card last night 5k limit so will stop using the tesco one now and pay it off and do next step of the extension so at least if we have a baby its bedroom will be a step closer!

Laptop never sold :( need to have a think about reducing I guess, its only gonna lose value so I guess I need to take the plunge...
Sold another program tho 99p and postage so no great achievement there!!

Have some scraps in my account so might be able to scrape another small overpayment wel see then payday friday- yay!

I see you have the next few years all mapped out, really hope it works out how you want :) I am umming and arring about putting money aside for a holiday abroad but it sickens me how much it costs and I think the next holiday abroad I want to go with an adult lol maybe for my 40th and my sisters 50th in 3 years.

thanks pammy, me too :). I think sometimes u just need a break and if your plans are longterm midway treats somewhere in the middle are important to get you thru and give u something to look forward to gets u by. If we go away we have to get care for all the animals as well as the holiday it cost loads but tbh i guess thatll be it for a while if we have another baby. I always feel better when plans are more solid :)
i think if u have a big celebration coming up u should justify the spend up! afterall your last holiday wasn't as good as it could have been, perhaps if u plan ahead u can get enough clubcard points or something to cover it or make the price of it less frustrating? i think u do so well with all the extras u earn u deserve it :)

thanks, tesco points are well behind me now, dont really shop in there or even look for bargain points anymore. Those were the good days unfortunately no more but had four holidays out of it. Have enough for a couple of days out when we are away in Suffolk in July and that will probably be that.
I hope that we can get away for our birthdays in 2014 but I know my sis almost def still wont be working and relying on benefits and so wont afford it. She has three years to save but never really has any money to save anyway

Grr thats the worst thing isn't it if you could go but if she doesn't want to save... Well I still hope u get it I think u deserve a simple break! I guess u can't change people who don't want to change. My sis and her bf earn lots more than us but live it up, I know once our mortgage is gone she'l be 'it's alright for you you don't have to pay a mortgage'. Maybe in the meantime someone will emerge you can go away with, friend etc. One of my friends just went travelling in india on her own, I'd never do anything like that!

Lucky us, hubby just donated the last tenner in his bank £68280, so that really is it until friday now :)

Would love even a long weekend away somewhere and you're right I might even have a partner by then (falls on floor in disbelief ) hahaha

I dont think I could go on holiday on my own really, takes a strong person to be able to do that. I am a scaredy cat when it comes to things like that although I went with young kids I could still hide behind them when socialising etc.
