Not had a alot of time time lately to update.
Spent £45 on this weeks food shop but got some good 3 for 2s on pet stuff so we are sorted in that dept for a while now which is great as thats a major expense. Went out for lunch yesterday which was £30.
Had a few scraps from quidco and so paid the final £30 I had in my bank account across so I guess we're officially £100 behind on this month but ahead overall. They still haven't sent the phone cashback tho which is 100.
We have everything on ebay, we had some other stuff that could of gone on but I just sent it to the charity as some stuff I just didn't think was worth the effort. My laptop is on for £190 so I will be over the moon if this sells, watch this space. I sold something for £20 the other day so I guess that will be in my account soon :). That will be it pretty much for ebay after that, which is good as it means that I have significantly de-junked!
We have decided we need to get the extension underway so will be trying some more 0% interest techniques (no balance transfer required), mainly with a new credit card, of course none of this is desirable however worse come to worse our monthly over payment would cover it although skipping overpayments are my worst nightmare! We aim to almost get the foundations finished april may time, fingers crossed.
I hope this year goes quick, as it stands we have no holidays to look forward too etc so its hard without having a nearby target, tho looking forward the march update which isn't far off and seems to have gone quick, then of course june we are half way through this challenge.
I was a bit sad last night when I realised I was wishing my little girls life away and that when this is all finished she will be in school. I hated school, then uni and now work and its like its the start of the struggle, I hope she doesn't feel like her life is a struggle too.
Anyway hopefully will update with hopefully some ebay sales, that would be great :)

Today I'm happy happy happy for a change:j

We have had a fantastic weekend just what I needed as we spent the day at my 'dream kind of house' friend of a friends and she has horses and loads of animals and I guess it has reinstated what we are aiming for. Good to catch up with friends and discussed lots of things MSE and they are all up for gaining knowledge I've learned up here so I have some quidco survey referrals to do :) So just generally fun. We did spend a fortune tho firstly to include a luxury dessert; warm brownies, melted cadburys, choccie icecream and squirty cream, plus I finished all the melted choccie so that was no good after my january diet! Also my friend has had a baby so we bought some bits but then I saw a peppa pig hoodie as the clothes were 3for 2 I splurged on that...only to find that that wasnt included so a general food bill !!!! up up but I've had lots of fun so I don't mind- £68.80 yikes...just think of the clubcard points!!!:rotfl:

I got £10 from my shopping scanning so £120 in amazon vouchers now :)

Hubby has part of his rebate back- £275, this will be lost in the credit card bill which has increased to near our limit £3750 grrrrrr, we plan to stop using it end of this month and get a nectar one so we can pay this one off before the interest free period ends. We should have some more money coming back hubby thinks for tax- fingers crossed.

Had a big heart to heart with my dad the other day about work and stuff and they have offered to help us out financially which at the mo I won't take him up on. Its good to have the offer there tho. He is like me and has encouraged me to intensively do the mortgage so I can have a better life balance. He also suffered with stress/anxiety with his job so I guess its hard for him to see me do the same. He has offered to allow us to reduce or stop our payments- pay mortgage quicker/ get extension up, or to have some of the money paid back for a holiday to repay at a later date. Anyway we shall see, I have to say if there was a way to finish this year I think I could do it but not sure I can stretch beyond... time will tell!

Ebay- sold an old monitor for a tenner, laptop finishes today no bids yet, fingers crossed.

Payday on friday, so pleased can't wait!

I'm glad your weekend has spurred you on with your goals. If we spend time with friends financially better off than us i always end up disatisfied with what i have.

Hope your laptop sells, have you got many watchers?
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!
  • Hi Cath
No your right re better off friends but we actually visited our friend who was house sitting the house so it wasn't hers and the owners are older. The house wasn't huge but they had land we which probably couldn't afford in our current location but were quite happy to move out to the sticks in time so its achievable I guess depending... I think seeing someone with a bit more spurs us, someone with lot more makes us depressed and someone with huge amounts more has no affect at all as its completely out of our reach so I just shut my brain off to it!
We have 15 watchers but no bids, fingers crossed, I'd be so happy, I guess next week might of been better as its pay day week! we sold an old screen yesterday and they paid cash today £10.50:)
    Will update later :)

OOh, I sold a program on ebay last week for £20 and was gonna move it into my account but thought I'd wait and make sure everything was ok first, but I have £5 from global opinions finally reached my account so I have enough anyway so paid off the mortgage. So officially only £100 behind this month:j Might be able to squeeze a tiny bit more as get close to payday :)
Have another program selling too its 99p at the mo. Also relisted something that didn't sell last week for 99p so was free, its only taking up room might as well go!
