ps, hubbys getting a tax rebate! this will probably go on the credit card....but still goodMortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!
Now just over 2 years we have taken on the challenge again! )(starting £237k Nov 2014) Current mortgage £232,399.82, current overpayment total £1550, years remaining= 170 -
I hope you can stick it out at work until 2013 and then it seems your options are so much better. My rationale for us OP is to enable one of us to work part time (prob DH as my career prospects are better) and if we can do this around the time DD is 10ish that would be fab!
Great news about DH tax rebate, i could do with one of those!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Hey thanks Cath I shall be embarressed when I look back on this diary and see how much I moan! It would really improve our life but in short term its misery and sometimes its so bad you just think u can't get thru it... I think working part time could be my key to happiness, hope u can hit your OP goal too
Wel I'm scared to speak too soon but I am feeling a bit better now, sure it is because payday is lurking around the corner, I hope I have no more stress up until and thru the weekend...
I have something naughty to report but I shall do so at the weekend as its too naughty to say until its not undooable!
The tax rebate is £275 and we have another form to fill in which hubby thinks will get us about £800 which really if this is a case is quite a windfall, but I'm not relying on it yet. My onepoll dosh is yet to find its way to my account but is on its way also. I still £100 to come from quidco which I hoped make the next payout tho seeming unlikely now.
If we get this money I think we will put it on the credit card. I think hubby wants to do the next stage of the extension in september (I think hubby really would like to try for another baby xmas time...) on an interest free credit card so I guess we want the existing one gone by then which is probably quite realistic if we get the tax money, our shopping has been good lately. Slightly tempted to spend £20 on clothes for our daughter to get 800 nectar points, we have a double nectar point voucher too I expect u can't use them at the same time?
I am a little tempted to suggest to hubby that we go away for a few days (have some time off in april) we went to a lighthouse cottage before with the dogs ( I was pregnant), it rained everyday, there was nothing to do so we just walked and went back to the cottage and sat infront of the fire with hot soup IT WAS FANTASTIC (I love walking in the rain), just a thought really there is a chipshop there now so we could have chips!! Not sure if our daughter could do all the walking, hmmm might mention it, but might check out prices first really if I did it it should be a surprise.... we shall see, I know it was quite expensive but theres not many places u can take dogs except when they specify that the dogs are 'well behaved' which mine certainly are not!!

I checked the cottage and its booked it would be about £400 for 4 days as well with petrol so probably not worthwhile...

If I had a baby prior to our MF date then that would mean bowing out early
the original plan is to start trying on our holiday to celebrate being MF, then during my 'work during pregnancy time' trying to finish the extension...just in time for our daughter to start school.... hahaha
might have a look at some other options...thanks sml saveMortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!

You have it all planned out, and this probably is not helping you being stressed.
You sound like my twin to be honest.
Hope your dad is ok, and you start feeling a bit better as the weather warms and we get a bit more daylight.0 -
no your right, too much planning is not good, spent too much time working it out. My dad seems better but I guess stress is ongoing...
