Happy new year to you tooMortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!
Now just over 2 years we have taken on the challenge again! )(starting £237k Nov 2014) Current mortgage £232,399.82, current overpayment total £1550, years remaining= 170 -
Two no spend days which is good being off and no choc, tho I'm not sure I'm that commited to that one at the mo!
Hubby and I had a good clear out and threw out loads of old paper work, one thing he found was a statement for our loan, I am actually a year behind so our overall balance can decrease a bit so will amend our signature, not that it makes any difference to our current situation. Gives us some dates for paying off tho and balances and we don't save huge amounts but where as we were going to let it run I think we will pay it off early 2013, wel see...
Hope everyones new years resolutions are going well. Will update again when the balance comes off which I believe will be the 5th this month?Mortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!

Its so good to see your month total going down. Bet it seems so close yet so far away!MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987
EMFD was Feb 32  NOW Dec 2013 its Dec 2016
MF new target Dec 16 REACHED!! :j0 -
The month total is the best bit because its an imaginable amount where as all the figures is just too much to imagine really. It isn't long and I'm sure it will fly but at the same time I feel like I'm wishing my daughters toddler-hood away...such is life it's a decision made so will keep to it, for now. I imagine as it gets closer time will go slower
New year new challenge, I notice you have taken a giant chunk of your target already, fantastic

Had a better day yesterday, we have done some serious porch-decluttering and hubby has now finished his project he now needed to do. He is training for an additional qualification so there's a few extra bits that will need to be done and I have set him a january timetable (he finds it hard to stay motivated) so hopefully by feb it will be done :j, he has to do an oral presentation/ interview/ exam in may (tho must get all this work done first!). If he completes all this there should be some form of payrise awaiting him in the summer, fingers crossed.
I am hoping to put xmas decs away today and sort out my daughters clothes. We got a card come round saying there's a company that pays £5 for a bag of clothes (unfortunately we put the card in the gerbil tank so I need to see if they have chewed it yet or not) but I've decided I need to sort it out, I gave a few bags to charity the other week so I feel its ok to sell a few. I figure I'm allowed 10 clothing items for sentimental reasons and after that I can only keep stuff that isn't stained etc. I got stressed before sorting through stuff as there's always stuff that people have bought you haven't liked etc and I felt bad getting rid of it but I need to be tough, if I didn't like it first time I won't like it second time! Clean stuff I can keep and depending how much I will divide the unisex and girls stuff. If we have another baby it will be the last one!
Apart from that our shopping has failed us again! We need to buy today...
-rice
-red pepper
-pasta (again)
-milk
-chinese sauce
I do not want to deviate from this list! I have done a food rota til next week so we can survive til then if that's all we buy.
Hubby wants a long drill bit and I'd like a big board as I started a new art project, this will come to about £3.50, but we have no change so this will mess up my no spend days so we'l see. I could also do with some PVA glue tho and that might be enough on the wickes card to generate a £10 voucher which I could almost justify as not spending hmmm.
On our neverending household decorating jobs we did some undercoat last night, be nice to get this done, although it all needs redoing so it'll never be finished...

Well all money starts coming out today and the mortgage payment is out! This months stats- can't be bothered to do a whole comparison thing although I should but daily interest £2.91, for the month £90.06 and total off balance £367.45, I have rounded up and added cb and that means £465 has come off today leaving us with £71300. Excitement over now for a few weeks hehe. I am back at work tomorrow, I have an extra day off, so want to relax today tho rather unplanned my daughter seems to of just got up early- she will normally sleep to 9/10!!
re yesterdays shopping we also needed some nappies and milk and we were good we only spent £2.50 on a tester pot and a bit of wood, tho we didn't get anymore jobs done... right must go now!Mortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!

Wanted to update to say the xmas decorations are nearly away and that I sorted out some baby clothes. Its very hard I definately didn't go thru them all so there must be more in the loft but most of them were in near perfect condition, I'd say I selected a 1/4 to get rid of but we lost the leaflet to the gerbils so will just be back to charity which is fine. I have a box of unisex clothes and a box of girls clothes- we seriously would not need to buy anything! I have selected less than 10 to keep sentimetally so I was pleased with that at least.
Determined to get a bit more undercoat done today!
Pleased to see the onepoll surveys have restarted, I'm on £37 now plus £100 validated from quidco so if things go our way if I round these up I might be able to manage £150 extra this month?Mortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!

How do you overpay your mortgage, is it linked to your current account, or do you have to ring and pay over the phone? i read how people have overpaid 50p here and there, and i'm never sure how they do it.!!0
