Well in true MSE style we have limited leftovers!! plus plenty of mouths so meal stuff usually goes to the dogs and cats and the chickens get plant stuff
The crackers were fab, we still have some to crack open, might just save them for now, plan on a day of relaxation today, go a few discounted xmas decorations yesterday. Looking forward to payday now!
We have put all our xmas money off the credit card but keeping a mental note of it, plan is to get hubby an ipad for his birthday which incidentally we will both use so when the time comes we will feel we have permission to spend this money if that makes sense. The credit card is now about £3000 but I don't know whether to amend the signature as we still need to spend on it for the month (might as well otherwise it makes no difference and we don't get clubcard points). For some reason we were left with 70p in the account so I splashed it on the mortgage leaving us £72769.30, tho have to be honest I can't be bothered to change the signature!!
I seem to be on the verge of some vouchers- £10 for valued opinions...pending (grrr tho they seem to forgotten my £4 mobile phone survey...) still on £36 something on onepoll and nearing £10 on tns. Also £100 verified on quidco, but not received yet
I have just realised I have not accounted for my mobile phone contract in my outgoings so I need to rectify that.
Going to sort our final spends also before the VAT increase!
Hope everyone has a great xmasMortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!

I really must sort out surveys sites, i have neglected them for about a week now.
I'd forgotten about the VAT increase, not sure how I did that!0 -
Really unless you're going to buy something huge i don't think it makes alot of difference, but I guess its annoying to pay more for the sake of a couple of days.
You probably haven't missed much, I haven't had many over xmasMortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!

Hi Cath, thanks for catching up
, I keep saying I'm gonna have a big catch up but where does the time go???
Right well I've not been very happy the last couple of days, so I'm annoyed at myself seeing as I should be happy that I'm off! I had a bit of an issue with my parents about holiday as obviously when they go away we book that time off for childcare. I guess in my mind I hope they might go away for maybe 3 weeks max so I can use 10 days of my holiday and hubby 15 of his (he gets more than me I get 20 days), they are probably going away for 3 holidays and odd days off when my dad goes golf etc so we are going to struggle for holiday anyway it is neither here nor there as we have to incorporate it, they are doing us a favour afterall, but is tough being so dependant on people and I will be glad when we are no longer so reliant, Hubby and I don't have lots of days off together and having holiday is separate is annoying but what can you do. We have to be grateful, anyway we are going to book dates we want now and we can always cancel them but getting holiday as short notice is almost impossible so better that way round really. Some other issues that have stressed me out but its all pretty much sorted so I have to get on and cheer up before I am thrusted into 2011 and have to wait til April for a days holiday
Well we are making 2010 the time to get any spending out of our system...
I have bought our daughter a few bits out of her xmas money some disney blu rays and 'very excited' a horse riding hat. When I was young I went horse riding and it is my ultimate dream to get her a horse, ok she might not like them but I do so worst case scenario mummy acquires one, anyway I'm not going to buy a horse yet or anything but our farm membership does pony rides and when she puts the hat on it makes her cry so hopefully she can get used to it at home (so far she loves it) plus my friend is looking after 5 ponies in february and said I can can take her up for a ride, so I am happy about that, something to look forward to in the new year! The rest of her money is going in her account, I need to check out what she's got, we only put in £10 at the moment tho hopefully post mortgage we can improve this but my nan and grandad are very generous with her and I think she has at least a few k.
Today we popped into asda for some milk and cat food (how have we made such a mess of the shopping this month?) and spent... a number of pounds with a 4 at the front nearing a number with a 5 at the front, yikes, what is going on...we bought our daughter a dress and slippers, some t shirts a dvd...oh dear I'm ashamed! I had also intended to buy an electric blanket I forgot to pick up, what a mess. Anyway near years resolutions and all that, so my plan is to sort ourselves out...1) so January is no spend month, strictly food and petrol only 2) plan all the food so I don't keep spending money and not having dinners 3) don't eat choc for 1 month (not that it would cost us a thing!) 4) try and exercise more...GOODLUCK
So tomorrow is payday for me, I am hoping there will be no hiccups... Will be able to see the 71's so pleased sometimes it seems like a lifetime, I guess I can start saying next year soon, if all carries on as planned. I've been a bit down today and annoyed at feeling like it when I'm off too!
Your resolutions look good- hope you have a good 2011.2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0 -
Oh jellie hope u feel better soon! I think we all get down but it always shocks me when I'm off... I hoped to wake up with a new happy head on but after accidently/ slightly deliberately staying up and checking my bank account at midnight I am annoyed that I have woken up and I have still not been paid!! We always used to get paid the friday before xmas too grrrrr that means I shall be on off checking all morning now I just hope it comes today by internet as we've had a couple of months by cheque and I think if they are going to do that they need to do it early so it clears in time! Now I know why not everyone has their DD coming out on the first!Mortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!

PAID! Over payment of £1004.30, so to £71765, anticipating my monthly payment will bring that to £71400, am very happy to leave 2010 with that total, I am awaiting 100 quidco and hopefully should hit onepoll £40 soon, apart from that no extras obviously coming this wayMortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!
