  • Fantastic looking cake. Well done.

Totally agree on it being too easy to spend on the credit cards. We spent £300 on ours over the weekend and it already had over £1200 on there. So much needs buying at the moment though with the kitchen being done and christmas coming up, but i really need to stop soon.

    Hey thanks guys.

Yeah I have closed the case on the non payer... I could of done a second chance offer but then I get charged so will hold out for another free listing day but of course then it means it will be at least two weeks til I see any money :( oh well. Hubby is investigating a tax rebate.

We've had an add up and the credit card now is pretty much maxed once the insurances have come out, so no more luxuries, will finish the xmas shopping only and thats it. We wont get anything really for each other and our daughter is done, just my family are quite expensive.... We need to pay it off tho so we can get the next stage of the extension done.

Mortgage-wise tho we are slightly ahead, yeah 28 months is great, done about 15 months back at work now so I guess over a third done. If we can go as planned might be able to shave a few months...

Glad I'm not the only one with the cards- being so controlled and allowing it to go out of control would be so silly.... so we must wind it up now, generally tho I guess it could be worse or we could of not acknowledged it and got more out of control!!

    Thanks guys :)

Thanks Pammy :) I still feel I am doing the right thing as far as our family's future, but it is hard working long hours most days, I still feel jealous of all the SAHMs out there and in some ways I almost feel having a career is like a penalty as it is hard to give up my wage. Saying that I look at it as an opportunity and I feel to not go for it would be foolish. It's not forever and hopefully in the future I can strike a balance. Sometimes I feel a bit down about it all but at the moment I am quite upbeat. We are lucky we both earn well, but I am lucky to have a supportive husband and family or I couldn't work, and it will be a fantastic achievement, but I still think what you are doing is truly amazing as well and I admire your achievements enormously :)

I am bit behind with the dairies, need to have a catch up! I have just joined newvista :), also done a yougov survey 50p (really rubbish but I have £15 so I intend to reach £50 once!), I have finally got to £5 on global opinions- definately a slow earner there and would give that up if it wasn't for the freebies, tho I managed to exclude myself from free moisturising cream by saying I 'use whatever is in the cupboard' doh! Still have my washing liquid and conditioner tho :)

Child benefit in today, hubby didn't want it going off the mortgage but I did sneakily mention I would have to pay it off especially as the ebay buyer never paid... So another £80 off, £77855, won't get the other 55 off this month now I can't see, I have something small on ebay but can't see it making much! Might do me a fiver!!

Hubby has done some negociating with fords re our car service, grrrrr all our car stuff always falls at christmas.

Anyway not much gonna be happening now til the end of the month :( hurry up payday!

You can let the service slip a month or so unless you do high mileage, in which case you ought to do it earlier really...might be a way to avoid xmas servicing! Good work with all the paying off :T

TY- we have postponed it! and it passed the MOT

I forgot to say we have still been winning these pizzas! We have 6 'in the bank' but ate 2 of them last night, we had to buy some sides too tho as we felt bad :) so I guess it kind of works after all.

Bit quiet on the survey front at the mo...

The hubster has done a fantastic shop of £27 this week, I am very happy with that! We need to keep going like that now so we can get rid of the credit card...then get another one to start the next lot of building!

See this weekend isn't free listing on ebay...grrr so annoyed those other people didn't pay will have to wait again now.

My shopping scanner isn't working so I hope I don't lose my points. One poll has been a bit slow lately...intending to have a no spend weekend if poss- tho 'exception' might order my sisters xmas present!

Not much else going on at the mo as most payments happen at the
    beginning of the month :(
