Well we got our food shopping done last night and the budget went out the window...£76 yikes! Excuses for this are buying our daughter a coat and a warm jumper and buying my friends new baby a present.

I went to a work show and to make up for this I have entered lots of competitions, about 10 to win ipod nanos and ipads fingers crossed.

Got to say am really feeling the cold today but we can't put the heating on til next thursday because of getting the radiator fitted. Our fire is broken too so we shall just have to freeze a tiny bit longer.

Going to start sorting out xmas presents soon- keep saying that.... Also our daughters birthday next weekend so more expense to come.

Apart from that am rather excited about things at the mo, seems a while since we overpaid a chunk so am looking forward to friday, should be able to knock over £3k off...

Finally another ebay freelisting day, taking the plunge and putting my first laptop on, unfortunately I have broken two keys cleaning it.... and still having dificulty wiping it all! If I can get £50 I will be very happy happy happy

OOhh we are going to finish the jobs in the house this weekend, watch this space!
Mortgage November 2003 was £135k, but thanks to this website on 28/08/12 we became MORTGAGE FREE!

    Signature updated!

A mini overpayment now but the big one is approaching! We have got paid again by cheque this month so I now waiting for it to clear.... I hope it does before the weekend. I have had to keep enough in our account for the direct debits incase it doesn't! So I've just sent £180 across to £81115, deliberating making it a funky number but decided against it! This month we start paying the credit card also. Hope to update again soon.

House wise... shower is finished, radiator is finished, so basically we have virtually finished all our interior jobs! Then next step will be finishing the foundations :)

I did some webinar survey last night which should give me lots of points so fingers crossed for another voucher soon- to save for laptop or get my daughter beauty and the beast on blu-ray?? Its her birthday this weekend so I get to make her cake :)

Ebay earnings for this week are at about £59, so I'm happy, will put more stuff on if free listing weekends keep coming up!

    Will update again soon!

I wish I was as good at ebay as you! I have had about 20 packages on my living room floor for weeks...they are all weighed and postage calculated just haven't bothered to stick them on!!

My only motivation is the free listing days! Otherwise I never feel like its worth the effort, if you've got them weighed and packaged you've done the hard work :) Perhaps u should give yourself a deadline? It is a bit tedious tho...

Hey! Wel I've been saving amazon vouchers for a while for a dongle thing so I can get iplayer on the tv but then I spent them on some software... I decided to start saving again and would still like the dongle but then decided I wanted a laptop (obviously as part payment or I'll be retired!) but already tempted to dip into them again. VO definately doesn't like my computer as it often crashes mid-survery so I was all set to leave, but now I'm tempted to give it a bit longer... Yougov is definately not getting a second chance tho should I ever see my £50 haha

Well my paycheque has gone through... I'm very excited today to have made an over payment of £2745!!! I feel really happy about this. We have both worked extra hard this month and as things stand we can do this to scrape a bit more money but we are both exhausted! I am very close to changing my signature to trying to pay off £3000 a month, this would really take alot of hard work but could mean that we clear the mortgage in 25 payments. So to clear for december 2012 MFIT-T2 challenge it needs to come in our november (end of month) paypacket, to do it in 25 payments would be the end of december paypacket which tends to come friday before xmas so we would only be 2 weeks late of the challenge, which I could definately live with, at least it would mean that once we hit 2011 we can say 'next year'. We shall see, I need to discuss it first with hubby and I don't want to change the challenge and 'fail' haha. This would make me really happy as then we could have a 2013 baby which will give us a 5 year age gap and I really don't want it to be longer than that!! Not sure where the extension fits into that tho... Oh meant to say current balance £78370

Other bits, it is our daughters second birthday monday (which we have booked off) so a lovely long weekend, I can't wait to do her cake and get some balloons- we are having a slight halloween element as family will be over sunday. If the cake is good I'll post a piccie, not if its rubbish tho!

Finally I still have some over payment challenges. We have the ebay stuff ending, CB and my nan has given us £50 towards party food for the party (which we will overpay and then use the credit card), I hope this will allow us to knock £200 (poss a tiny bit more) off plus our mortgage payment will knock £350 off so my new aim for this month will be £77800. We have almost caught up already for the building work, of course we have a credit card bill now but I'm not going to mention that!!

Just noticed I only quote my mortgage balance as a positive figure!! Hmmm still happy to see it go down tho:money:

Right happy happy happy today will post again when have something fun to say:j

...just to add, it has finally come to my attention I am making my signature too long, it won't allow much more! I will try and amend it for the end of the year so its not monthly! I just need to look at it for a bit longer so I stay feeling proud :)

OOOH the £50 in in the account from the cheque so I've overpaid it... £78320

Bad food shop last night! £65 in asda and half of what we wanted we couldn't get so we have to go to iceland today. Kids parties are expensive! ...and cake making! Got some halloween goodies which luckily were discounted otherwise could of been worse, I anticipate another £20 today :(

Kids parties are expensive. My DD was 4 earlier this month. We opted to hire a local soft play centre at £10 a child, really deppite the expense it was worth it for being able to do nothing. I remember the buying of party food, making fairy cakes and big cake plus quiches etc. I am a weirdo and had processed stuff so I make quiches and mini omlettes myself plus all the cakes (humf last year) plus fudge, tablet and caramel shortie. OOO mini savory muffins too and then have about 30 adults and kids in for the day and then have all the cleaning to do afterwards.

There is a gap of 5 years between me and my little sister and there will be 4.5 between DD! and this baby (with DD2 in the middle) TBH I think thats a nice gap, DD2 was 2 in July and she is quite jelous of the bump already which is concerning us a bit, just silly things like we bring out the crib from the loft to get cleaned up and she is very very possesive of it. We never had this when pregnant with DD2 as DD1 was only 21 months when she was born so still a baby herself, DD2 is now a little person who knows what she wants. I am dreading OH being back at work after paternity leave when I have to split my time between DD2 and baby, DD1 will quite happily play but DD2 is at the mummy must be involved stage.
