Thank you Mrs for taking the time to reply. I will have to find out if there is an opposition Councillor. I know the librarian is planning a public meeting. I will mention the points you have made.
It makes no sense to me as we are living in such a deprived area and we are constantly being told how poor literacy skills are in children in Wales and yet they want to take away some children's only source of books.
I'm lucky that I can afford to buy my children books(though at the rate they are reading it's getting harder and harder.) However I like to support the library the children love going there after school and the librarian is such a sweet lady. She always takes a great interest in the children and remembers what they have talked about the previous week.
Also whenever I go in there the computers are always being used and with more and more services only being available on line it's going to have a massive affect on people who don't have internet access at home.Crazy clothes challenge 2012 £105.50/£480 :jItems removed from wardrobe 16

Finished the Lee Child book can't even remember what it was called that's how impressed I was with it. Currently reading Jodi Picoults The Storyteller which is pretty good so far.Crazy clothes challenge 2012 £105.50/£480 :jItems removed from wardrobe 16

I have ground to a halt halfway through the Jodi Picoult book I was reading - I have not read any for about 2 weeks and can't be bothered - I don't know if its just not grabbing me, whether I'm more interested in the Kindle book I'm reading so I'm getting distracted or whether its just that I sometimes just can't be bothered to read much.
I have decided to try and kick start my reading again by leaving that one for now and starting the new and final Gallagher Girls book, which I always find very easy to get in to and fairly quick to read. I think this is progress as when I usually stop reading I go back to either To Kill A Mockingbird or Pay It Forward, which will not help clear my shelves in any way!No more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.
Target for 2018 = 7/21
No more buying DVDs ? 2018 target 27/52

What Jodi Picoults are you struggling with? I love her writing style but have to admit some are a bit way out at times.Crazy clothes challenge 2012 £105.50/£480 :jItems removed from wardrobe 16

Erm I have a small(ish) confession to make...
I subscribe to a number of book related blogs/emails and got one yesterday saying that a particular publisher was having a sale - well this publisher seem to focus on the kind of books I like
I ended up buying 25 (£15 not as bad as it could have been) but still
On the plus side they are on the kindle so I don't need to find storage space :j
The other thing is that because my OU course has started I'm not actually doing that much reading at the minUsing my phone to post - apologies in advance for any typos0 -

Hi Silvermist. Its Perfect Match that I've been reading - its not particularly bad just not grabbing me. One of those books that I enjoy when I'm reading it but have little desire to pick it up again once I've put it down! I usually really like her books and have only ever given up on Mercy which I really didn't get into so I'm hopeful I'll finish it soon!
I don't like the format as much as some of her others - where each chapter is from different characters point of view - like My Sisters Keeper and Sing You HomeNo more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.

I didn't particularly like Perfect Match either.
I have been really good and not bought any books for myself in ages. However I've bought quite a few children's, just put another book people order in. They're children's sets are such great value.Crazy clothes challenge 2012 £105.50/£480 :jItems removed from wardrobe 16

Hi all
Finished Lee Child's Tripwire and Sophie Kinsella's 'can you keep a secret' think I had read that once before as I had that kind of deja vu feeling about it.
Not sure what to read next, may decide when I go to bed tonight.0
