I've been reading through the old posts, and embarrassingly came across one by me! From about 2010! I can't believe I didn't remember posting! Oops...:rotfl:
Currently reading a Stuart MacBride book from the library, but have one of mine to read after. It's actually a book I have been saving for what is probably years - does anyone else do this? I tend to think "ooh, I'll love that, I'll save it for a special occasion!" (I realise this is mad.)Crazy clothes challenge 2012 £105.50/£480 :jItems removed from wardrobe 16

Oh, you naughty lot, stop talking about libraries - you've caused a relapse! :rotfl:
I've just read 'All Balls and Glitter' by Craig Revel Horwood. He's really had a very interesting career and it got behind his 'nasty' image. A very interesting read. Please call me 'Pickle'

Haven't been on here for ages but even so I still kept the spirit of the challenge, still reading, rehoming and trying not to buy more books, I have just invested in Suggs's bio though, keeping it as a gift to me though, i think thats whats led me back to this thread as i've still got a houseful/too many to count collection of books to read through.
At the minute I'm reading A Perfect Mess - the hidden benefits of disorder by Eric Abrahamson & David H. Fieldman. Not really getting much out of it, finding it a bit tedious so it's taking me ages to read it, it's my second attempt at it and I'm determined to finish it before I clear it out.0 -
Hi all,
I've read another one: Anyone Can Do It by Duncan Bannatyne.
It was pretty interesting; a real rags-to-ritches story of a kid who left school with no qualifications and made a fortune.
His accounts of post-Ceausescu Romania, where he does charitable work, are eye opening. It's truly awful to think of people living in such horrendous conditions such a short period of time ago. Please call me 'Pickle'

Hi all. I've finished another one: The Art of Learning.
It's brilliant! I confirmed some of the half-realised thoughts I had about learning, pushed them further and has made me revaluate how I learn and inspired me to learn more!
I hope to be putting this book into action in the near future! Please call me 'Pickle'

Hello all! :hello:
My name is VickyA and I am a book hoarder-holic.
Can I please join this lovely thread? I have too many unread books on my shelf (and on my Kindle) because they were in a 3 for 2/at a charity shop/someone told me I MUST read it/it was cheap on Amazon.
I'm currently reading a Jane Green book which a friend gave me (so free) but it doesn't help me to reduce the number of books I still have left to read on my shelves...Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

Joining in here too if that is ok! I have been on a self imposed book buying ban for a while as I have so many on the shelves I still haven't read.
One of my new rules though is to work my way through them and sell/donate as soon as its done. I need rid of so much clutter that im in the right place right now to do this and im actually looking forward to starting the first book tonightSell 100 items - 81/100 - £734.41:j Make £10 a day Dec £148.97/£350
