Currently reading Philip Lopate 'The Art of the Personal Essay' 600 pages +
and Loic Waqaunt 'Punishing the poor, Neoliberal government of insecurity'.
I have to keep my reading rate up as I am only 2 books ahead and I need to be reading a book a week? at most to catch up.

In the mean time I have finished reading one of the books I borrowed from work and have stuck the other in to my bag to try and get that one finished soon too, then I promise to make a start on the contents of my unread book bag.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

Friend at work gave me a Mary Higgins Clark today, yet to venture into her world so that's another on the to read pile.

Hello... I'm another person with a stash of unread books. I do need to buy another book, which we're reading in my book group, and there may be others, but I won't be buying any extra books. At a guess I've probably got a good dozen books (kindle and paper) which I haven't read. I wouldn't be surprised if I've owned some of them for years.SPC - Number 14250

Finished another book this morning - Jumpstart the world by Catherine Ryan Hyde. Was good and quite short so didn't take me long to read it. Have started the night world series by LJ Smith now. I got the 1st 3 books in the series for a pound in the Summer - thought that was quite a bargain and I like her other books so hopefully these will be just as good!
Have to confess though that Amazons Black Friday has not been good for my willpower and have bought a few boxsets of books from themItsadogslife wrote: »I really try to be good honestly, but I think it is a little bit like an addictionBooks from charity shops, table top sales etc.

To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my very favourite books ever- must have read it 10 times - another reason my to read pile is large - if I have a question about which book to read next it's usually this one or Pay it Forward! I'm trying to change that habit though!
No more buying books Books in 2016 = 20.

I am really enjoying it
Although I think this thread for me is more of a confessional or actually a place where I see what other people are reading and I think "oh I will have to get that" and I won't go out and buy them brand new, I will store the names and if I see them in the charity shop or jumble sale, I can't help it - this thread effectively leads me astray
Bought a Dean Koontz from the charity shop yesterday for £1.25Just keep swimming!0 -
