    yesterday I acquired 2 books - from a lady who's died, so that's not quite buying :p

I did buy 2books from the CS this week - one is a town map, and one is about the Stephen Lawrence murder ( I have however got rid of a few books). I also bought & read ' the anti-terrorists handbook' which was definitely worth buying.

I have finished the autobiography of Rhys Mwyn which although took me ages, was worth it,and have nearly finished the book on the English Constitution, have got a novel on the go,and one of the older books inherited from the ancestors, 'Off the Deep end' by Christopher Morley which I'm actually enjoying. It's little stories, memories & plays, from I think the 1930s.

    Keep ploughing on everybody!

But seriously: knocking off an old lady to get hold of her books is going just that bit too far! ;)

    Hi all!

I've just finished Left To Die (crime thriller) by Lisa... uh.... can't remember! T'was a really good one, nice ending too.

Also this week I read Peter Kay's second autobiography (Saturday Night Peter it's called) covering the years he started winning local competitions right up to the present day. OMG talk about funny!! I love the guy anyway but the book had me laughing out loud so many times. Also he has some of his scripts in the book and because you can hear him doing the act, it's even funnier!

Am about to start a Sophie Hannah one called Lasting Damage - I do like her so hoping for good things.

Lastly, a friend went to a local book signing by Jodi Picoult last week and has her new book so I don't have to buy that, just have to wait for her to finish reading it! Hurrah! Um... so as I WAS going to buy Jodi Picoult... and now I don't have to... does that I mean I can use the money I was GOING to use for that... to ... uh.. buy ANOTHER book? Does it does it??!

    ... I'm not very good at this thread's aim am I? :o

    Hi all,
Seems like ages since I popped on here.
    Books finished:
The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid - Bill Bryson ( from my pile) laugh out loud funny. I love his books and I had forgotten what a brilliant writer he is. I read a lot of his a few years ago, this was a hidden gem!
Black and Blue - Ian Rankin - really good atmospheric thriller. To my great shame this is the first Rebus Ive read, despite the action being based in Edinburgh and the wonderful Mr Rankin living here.
However in my defence, I enjoyed it so much I've started the next in the series "The Hanging Garden" excellent ( both books from library)

I DO have a confession to make though:o - bought three books in Water5tone$ BUT I used vouchers I got for a survey.:p I'm off on holiday soon, I like to plan my reading treats well in advance!
    I bought:
Water for Elephants - Sarah Guen
The Road Home - Rose Tremain
A Surrey State of Affairs - Ceri Radford
