I am officially no good at this. Went to T3sco the other day, children fell asleep and I had time to look around a bit, I *happened* to end up trawling the books and two *fell* into my basket.... :p

Almost finished Pile of Stuff... really funny, very very accurate take on married with young children life.

Prob go back to Alan Sugar's autobiography after this, and have a crime fiction as light relief on the go as well.

Also need to finish my audio book from the library as it's due back soon.

Been mainly reading on the Kindle again, although at the moment it's mainly the PDF version of my OU course book which is why I've still got 274 books on it and not turned the wireless on for weeks to pick up the new freebies I've 'bought'.

Jinty, they were just two formulaic crime fiction ones, I can't even remember the titles and I only finished one of them last night!! T'was what I wanted it to be, gripping, an easy read, instantly forgettable.

I have also received a delivery from The Book People this week, 7 books that cost £24 altogether, six of them were hardback. One was a Christmas present for 2011!! How ahead of myself am I???!

The others were a vengeful yet restrained kick back at the fact that I found out my husband's new PC which he TOLD me was "about £500" was actually nearer the £1,000.00 mark!!

I feel a trawling of The Book People's website coming on ... these ones I just got were from their little catalogue.

Oh and... I did get 4 for £2.00 (more crime fics) from the boot sale last weekend.

I crown myself officially this thread's worst promiser not to buy more.

i thought i was bad at buying books?
i got 11 brian jacques books at 10p each in a charity shop local to one of my aunt and just couldnt resist.
plus the devil tempted me to buy about 18 terry pratchet books at 75p each in my local red cross charity shop, it amazing though the prices in charity shops, as they can vary so much as one book i was temped to but was about £1/2.50. yet ive bought a triple book with holographic cover in a charity shop for £2, an anne mccaffrey planey pirattes tripple so well pleased.
i do like having a nosy in charity shops for my books, just need to get a bookcase to store them all instead of stored in the box ive got or big piles in the living room.

Wow Unlucky, I think you need to change your name to Lucky!

All those Pratchetts for 75p each! Wish I could find that deal in one of my local charity shops!

I do get a lot of mine from there too, plus I try to return them once I'm done with them so it's more like paying a "borrowing" fee!! :D
