Cranky - well done on getting back to work.

JackieO - I love Holby to, one of my fave programmes. I always have to record it though as it clashes with scout pick up, so normally have to watch it an hour later. I also have some ironing to do later. :(

Made a banana loaf and a lemon drizzle traybake today, both recipes out of the Mary Berry book from the library. dead simple and dead tasty!!

I went to the quilting group this afternoon. I had spent all morning faffing round in the sewing room. I have managed to get one machine up, have decided to leave the other one in its box unless I am actually going to need to use it. Then I can have my 3ft cutting board out on the table and use the whole table to cut.

The group was quite friendly, we had a few laughs and they have asked me to take a quilt in next week, so I will have to sort one out. The have an exhibition in November and also a sales stall so will have to get my thinking cap on.

I went into the second bedroom tonight to rummage in a box, I needed a casserole, to my horror we unpacked the last 3 boxes and no casseroles.......so I phoned my old land lady, yes she said she had found them in the cupboard, just left them there!!!! she could at least have phoned me.....DD1 is going to collect them and see if DS2 can bring them up to me. I have sent a rather terse email to the removers, they were supposed to have checked the cupboards before we left.

I did the casserole in the pressure cooker and we had it tonight instead of tomorrow. I was going to start it off and leave it on the woodburner overnight. We seem to have cracked getting heat out of the WB the last couple of days U have been using a mixture of wood and solid fuel, its been the warmest since the first night we came. We will have to get some more wood, might just get a couple of bags to see us through until DS2 has built the new wood store for us.

Chappie coming tomorrow to move the telephone point into the living room, sky on Thursday to sort out the TV then we have to wait 10 days for the phone and broadband......they did agree to refund the rental charges for this month.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

Welcome to Maccanut and Hart44...its nice here.

Good luck to all you ladies dealing with coils etc...had a hysterectomy at 42 so all that lark is a distant memory for me.

Still very cold here to-day, we had a light snow shower and hope that there will not be any more.

PP...hugs to you all, enjoy your break, congratulations to DD on the work experience she wants.

OH came home with 2 porksteaks this morning ( he went for the paper!) so I stuffed them and we had them roasted with roast spuds and steamed turnip and cabbage...made a mince rolypoly as well and ate 2 pieces...will I ever learn!

Not sure when we will get out into the garden....we do have a few crocus in flower and some snowdrops, so Spring is definitely on its way. Some bits in the greenhouse are slowly developing and we have purple sprouting broccoli and 2, yes 2, cauliflower coming on in one of the raised beds....no idea where the caulis came from but looking forward to them.

Hugs to all in need or want, congratulations to all who are celebrating

Evening all. Hugs to those who need them.

Been to the doctors today and I have to go to the hospital again tomorrow. Had a small seizure earlier (may have overdone the flylady:o) and fell on my broken arm, he thinks I have done some damage but said there was no point going today because they wouldn't do anything today other than keep me in to sort it tomorrow. :(

Started googling what I could have done but scared myself silly:eek:
