It was as much to ease any discomfort - I had forgotten what period pains could be like but having my Mirena fitted soon reminded me!!

dont worry Bitsy - I wont lie - it does hurt but only briefly and then you've got 5 years without any period pains or heavy periods so its worth it! :)

PP - hope you get a good rest away later this week with DH x

CandyGirl - floss's suggestion of a notebook by the bed is a good one!I've done that in the past!
    Do what you love :happyhear
  • All done and dusted - good luck with yours Mummysaver. Had the Doc as the Nurse isn't fully trained yet - but he was very gentle. The room was freezing though :rotfl:hopefully that is that sorted for 3 years. On the subject though - Mirena coil fitting isn't the nicest things but so worth it imho.

PP (((hugs))) for you and OH, congrats for DD :j

Really must get on with some work now.x

Just wanted to say I have had the mirena coil in the past to try n stop heavy bleeding, but it didn't work as it turned out I had severe endometriosis and had to have a hysterectomy at 37:eek::eek: I'm not soft and it killed when it was put in, but I would've stuck with it if i'd worked:D:D

Morning all! I'm back at work today so there'll be no OS for me today! OH's parents are going round to his house today to wallpaper the chimney breast for us then its all ready for me to move in! Feel a bit weird about leaving m,y little house but I'm looking forward to being there permanently rather than one or the other of us living out of bags all the time!!!

I got a letter yesterday saying my student loan is nearing the end :-) apparently I can change onto direct debit payments now rather than it being taken from my salary to ensure I don't end up overpaying. I think I'll try and pay a small chunk off of it if they let me and then hopefully it will be gone by xmas!

Tea tonight will be something thrown in the oven while I have a bath after work! I do 12 hour shifts atm so I never make much effort when I'm on day shifts.

Have a good day everyone x

Hi all. Hugs to all those needing them and all those nursing sad or sickly loved ones.

Been lazy this morning. Woke up with the sniffles and sneezes and it's freezing here too!

Anyway, waiting for the college to ring back about giving them my late dad's car manuals for the courses (there's about 100 manuals!!!).

Ought to be cleaning the bedroom.... just watching an old black and white film on film4 though... seems a little bit like an american version of Jane Eyre crossed with Rebecca so far.

Got my lost ebay item at last. Post office delivered a card last week and then couldn't find the letter when I went to collect! It's only silicon egg rings - I've got bored of washing the metal ones that aren't dishwasher proof :o

Got a sainsbug delivery coming later today so no need to go out in the cold at all today.

    Hi All,

This is me officially getting my act together :o I'm back :hello:

Am going back to work tomorrow so am intending on doing a meal plan today and getting my Dad to pick me up from Tescos with a mountain of stuff! My Mum and Dad have been brilliant at taking care of me and DH for the past few weeks, now feel a bit like I'd be taking the you know what if I continued to allow them to do it.

Only need to get by for a week as my amazing DH has booked a holiday for us so we're off to Lanzarote for a week next Thursday. You know what they say - fake it till you make it...

Anyway, so I'm easing myself back into OS - I think it'll be somewhat of a relief I hate not being organised (ok in control!). I haven't caught up on the threads much over the last couple of weeks so please accept hugs where needed, and my thanks again to those who were so kind to us in our time of need.

PP - sorry to hear of your loss
Anguk - glad to hear Martyn is on the mend

    Hugs to all xx

    Hello everyone

Hope you're having a good day?

The coil spring when in the car this morning, gave a big "Twang" as I sat in it and when I drove off, bits fell off! The joys of motoring, eh?

An okay day here, cold but dry for the time being.

Mince and tatties for tonight's dinner, made by DH :) Tasty, especially when served with white pudding :):)

Thank you all very much for the birthday wishes, my OH forgot :( he had to raid my DD card stock lol, I forgive him as he thought it was the 8th today (and he's a man lol).

Hope everyone has had a good morning (where did it go) I had a rummage around the charity shops this morning and found a great sewing book for the home for 99p so well pleased.

It is sleeting here again so a grey day realy but hey Im happy lol.

bargainbird, my sig is something I cut out of a mag 20 odd yrs ago and always kept in my purse till it started to look tatty so I copied it onto my pc so I dont ever lose it lol.
With 4 kids (if you can call them that lol) 30, 26, 15, and 9, leave after 18 yrs is a joke lol.

Im off to make my shopping clip boards. I found some mini clip boards in H.B for 29p each, some mini calculators in Wilco's 59P each and shopping list pads 16p each.
Im going to cover the clip boards with pretty sticky plastic and glue the calculator on the side. These will be birthday gifts for my DIL and 2 sisters.

Have a great rest of the day and will prob catch you all tonight :)
Thank you agin for the BD wishes :)
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)
