    Afternoon peeps

bit late on here today and its almost time for me to go to w*rk
spent most of my freetime this morning helping a friend out so the morning has flown by - hope that the afternoon and evening does too then i`ll have two days off :j

Doggies were walked early this morning, they saw loads of their doggy pals but my was it cold, said goodbye to my other pal who is off on holiday tomorrow morning, i`ll miss her whilst she is away as we often have a quick catch up over a cuppa after walking the houndies. Hope she has a good time as she has not been in the best of health for some time.
    and deserves a good break.

I`ve made pizza bases for tomorrow which have been put away now that they`ve cooled and i`ve just sorted out the kitchen so thats all clean and tidy, the washing is on the airer upstairs and its now hailing outside

I badly need some sun to cheer me up - roll on springtime. I replenished the birdfood stocks earlier outside as the poor little birdies need their food this cold weather.

Hart - Welcome and Happy birthday :bdaycake:

Maccanut - Welcome to you too :D

JC - glad that you got everything back!

Sorry if i`ve missed anyone as i`ve read very quickly through the thread today, back later all being well.

Have a good day peeps, wrap up and keep warm.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    Good afternoon,

I've been to work today for the first time since last year...... I'm feeling quite pleased with myself. I'm on half days for the first couple of weeks until I get used to it again. Thank you all so much for your support over the last 4 months.

    afternoon!

CRANKY - well done on going back to work!:T:)

EssexGirl - glad its over for you;)

DH has spent the morning working with DS1 on his car - not easy as he cant move his elbow, he's welded the exhaust(luckily we have a welder and DH used to do it for a living) he was cross to discover a virtually bald front tyre - so thats gone to the garage for a new one(more money - I'm having to pay as DS is even more skint than us) we're just praying it doesn't need any more expense. MOT booked for the middle of next week.
DHs elbow very painful now so he needs a rest.

This morning I've washed, ironed, cleaned, washed the car, made cookies, made soup. Washed, dried and straightened DS2s hair.

Need to pop to Mums later. We didn't make the W.I. as Mum had a church meeting.
I'm now having a well earned 5 minutes:)
    Do what you love :happyhear

    Afternoon all :hello:

Sorry I haven't been on much and have probably missed loads of news but hope everyone is well and welcome to all the new posters :hello:
Real life has taken over again and we had a busy weekend. I have also managed to jigger my back which has me achieving less than usual. :o
Have spent today doing a bit of admin and getting lesson plans ready for the garden club which starts again tommorrow.
Tea tonight is easy Tuna baked potatoes and salad as I need to catch up on some more housework if my back permits and don't want to spend all afternoon in the kitchen.
I made the pork lasagne from Economy Gastronomy last night and I can't recommend it highly enough. It was utterly delicious and a great way to use up the remnants of the huge pork leg we had on Sunday. 4 portions are in the freezer for another day too. ;)

Right, better go and do the school run.

    Haribo x

ps... Well done on your return to work Cranky. I hope all goes well. Thinking of you as you make it to another stage. xxx

Just wanted to say I have had the mirena coil in the past to try n stop heavy bleeding, but it didn't work as it turned out I had severe endometriosis and had to have a hysterectomy at 37:eek::eek: I'm not soft and it killed when it was put in, but I would've stuck with it if i'd worked:D:D

Now my mum was the same - endo can be hereditary can't it? I am hoping that isn't the case with me. But then apart from heavy bleeding I don't suffer with any sort of period pain or cramps etc - will have to see if it works. I hope it does as I can't carry on like I am

Didn't have a nap this afternoon but made my H a Valentines card awww.

Sorry pic is bit dark, north facing window. Not bad considering I knocked it up in just around a hour. Managed to get embossing powder everywhere though :o Think it's missing "something" but I don't have time to work on it anymore as DD is now awake.
I'd love to a) have more time to make cards b) have more money to spend on card making and c) have a little craft room to store all my gubbins. It's all rammed in the wardrobe and a bit of a PITA to keep getting it out.

Anyway also had lunch at my mums, made her some Twinks (as she's poorly) and did a bit of tidying for her. Sitting making the card was my only sit down all day.

Wind has picked up her and the sky is black - so it's either going to be sleet or rain booooooooooo :( come on spring I neeeeeeeeeeeeed you!

Ang - glad Martyn is still doing well x

Cranky - well done on going back to work. Glad you enjoyed it.

nessie - sorry but that made me laugh :rotfl: Hope it's not going to cost too much to repair.

Right DD has toddled off upstairs little minx. better go and rescue her and put the gate across.

  • Afternoon peeps

Work is really annoying today - the computer system has been playing up all day. It's been accessible since lunch but no-one can access their emails :( it's so frustrating as I have a lot of emails to send and I can't ring people instead as it's all stuff that needs to be in writing! I had also planned to go out and about in my minibus this afternoon to do some jobs ready for when my team of kids start a week Monday, but I've had to lend my bus to my colleague as his car is broken and he had a meeting to go to! I left my car at home today too so couldn't even use that! Ah well I'll write off today work wise ;)

I'm debating whether to go to Tesco tonight and stock up. I have a £5 off £50 spend farmfoods voucher and a £6 off £40 spend Tesco voucher. Both expire end of this week. I need to stock up on cat food (which would be around £20 spend) so if I did part of my monthly shop a week early as well and used these vouchers I'd save £11 :D I need to go to the shopping centre anyway to return some shoes, and look for new pair of jeans after work so Tesco is opposite so may well do it.

OS wise, very little planned. I still have some HM celery soup left so if I don't have that for tea then I'll freeze it.

    Have a good evening all
