Do you know if there is a way to wash it out?0 -
I have this problem too on some of DS's darker coloured T shirts. I think in my case it's my iron being too hot for the fabric and marking it somehow because often the marks are vaguely iron shaped
Frugalfairy.......... do you have a steam iron? The marks you describe sounds like a build up of scale which can be released when you use the steam function.0 -
Yipee the white vinegar worked. Poored it on neat, gave it a tiny rub as the fabic is quite delicate and put it through a regular wash. Now it has dried and the marks are gone. I so love white vinegar:DThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Can anyone help?
I have a good quality washing machine. I use quality washing powder and lenor.
Anyway, recently, I have come to the ironing phase and have found white "water" marks on some of my cloths. In particularly on dark clothing.
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.....0 -
I had this when the machine wasn't heating the water to the right tempSome days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0

Hi, I had this problem sometimes when using powder with dark items of clothing. I think sometimes the powder just does not disperse properly.
I now use the washing liquid from Lidl in the pink bottle and fabric conditioner and it works out much better. My darks clothes though tend to only need a freshen up as such, not stained.
I still use the powder for light clothing.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

I found that when H was 'helping' and put the washer on a quick wash that tends to happen. So maybe its the length of program rather than the temp ?furrypig says:my name is Choccy and I am addicted to nose free stamps as I want to save them all and give them noses!!!:rotfl:
About me. Im Choccy or Chocolate orange depending on where i am.Yes occasionally i am a total looon who spends too long online, but no where near as much £ as her spendy elves do ..:D0 -
Could you be puting in too large a load so it's not rinsing properly? It'd show up more on dark clothes.Resolution:

Hi davetaylor,
There are some ideas on this older thread that may help:
white marks washing
I'll merge your thread with that one later to keep all the suggestions together.
