Bless his little cotton socks. I'm sure he'll make a quick recovery with all the love and cuddles he'll be getting. :)

He just seems confused bless him, and very tired! My other cat keeps trying to sniff his butt, and he is growling, think he just wants peace and quiet.

He's had some kibble and drank plenty of water and had THE biggest wee ever. So seems fine, apart from his blood covered paw and pink scar lined belly!

Im trying to stop him jumping, the daft thing jumped off my bed and into the wall with his cone.....currently sleeping on my pile of clean washing. I'll let him off, because he is poorly :p

He's home now :D His co-ordination with the collar is awful bless.

The total price was £545 and that includes a bag of hills i/d food as he wont eat wet food and his gut is very narrow so needs that food for at least a week.

His tummy scar and his arm look a mess.

Why is my other cat growling and spitting at him? He's not been away for that long! Is it because he smells different? Poor Archie doesn't need her grumpyness :(

When we had Missy spayed, her co-ordination was awful, she couldn't work out how to get through the door without the collar catching :rotfl: It was quite amusing to watch!

Also, when she ran away and came back Coco was growling at her. We found that rubbing her with the blanket out of his bed helped him to get used to her again.

Im so glad he's home and feeling better x

    Scratch all that.

He has just emptied his entire stomach contents over my living room floor, he has only eaten some of the biscuits I put down plus lots of water. A nice soupy mess. Also some of the sick, the crud at the end was green and stenchless? Whats that! Bile?

He isn't really being responsive, he is taking himself away into corners to hide and sleep, has been doing that since he got home. He just looks so sad and miserable. Won't come over when you call his name etc.

Why did the vet say I could bring him home when clearly he isn't okay too? I'm worried they haven't even fixed him properly, hence the spew.

What the hell. He looks worse than he did before. Im crying my eyes out, my OH who hates them keeps looking and talking to me all sympethetic, I think he thinks Archie is going to die or something.

Ignore your insensitive OH, to hell with what he says. Even if he doesn't like the cats he should see how upset you are and be comforting, not being awful about it! Give the vets a ring, describe the symptoms, and see if they think he needs to go back or if this is normal after an op like that. That's the only way you'll know. I hope poor Archie is alright!

And as for spending that much money on 'just a cat', if you consider how long cats generally live, then divide this by the money you've spent, it works out at pennies per day! I think that's excellent value for money considering the love and joy you get from owning a cat. I'd rather have my Pepsi than a stupid Playstation any day :)

The vet surgery I'm at closes at 6:30, the only other option is the emergency vets on the otherside of Aberdeen, and I don't even have a car, plus I dread to think of what they will charge me just to look at him

He's came through to the living room, the smell of cooking has aroused his tastes I see. He's just drank some water and I mashed up some wet food for him, which he is ignoring, as the vet did say wet is better for him right now but he doesn't like it!

How am I supposed to get the antibiotics down his throat tomorrow :rotfl:

Can see me staying up overnight with him, just to make sure he doesn't get any worse. Think he just needs to eat to give himself a bit of energy and I guess I can't expect him to be lively as you can see he is sore when he trys to sit down.

I would try not to worry too much - I know it's hard but anaesthetic can cause nausea. I have heard it advised to feed cats on boiled chicken after an operation rather than their normal food as it is too rich and only a tiny amount. Try microwaving the wet food for a few seconds as the smell will be more appetising to him. Drinking lots of water is a good sign.

Im sure they've fixed him properly he is just lethargic after the operation. Although on the other hand, you know him best, if you are seriously concerned get him straight back to the vet first thing in the morning.

    Hope he's ok x

He's now sleeping behind the fridge. The vet did say that no food was banned, just if it made him sick or gave him diapoopoo to avoid, so if he still hasn't eaten much by tomorrow, I'll give him a few chunks of tuna and if he doesn't eat THAT then something is seriously wrong.

This is a cat who wraps himself round your shoulders like a scarf, and trys to bat your fork/food/sandwich to get whatever he wants.

The vet also said I can pick him up, just not to touch his scars but he hisses if you put your hands underneath his front legs (scar doesnt go that far) so he's obviously V sore. I'm having to use my hands and legs to try and move him in another direction.

Playstations are dull! I'd love to stamp on OH's and throw it out the window. Really is an obsession with him. Tsk.
