Thanks Screamer! That brought a big smile to my face :D

Well, your right poo is always better than no poo, but not on the floor, preferably, I have their litter boxes in a tiled utility cupboard (It's quite small but could use it for storage if their boxes weren't there, just don't fancy having them around the house, especially since Archie is really enthusiastic with kicking poo around the box) and I find the room kinda whiffs of cat scents 24/7, even though I have a neutrodol air freshner and one on the wall, and it gets sprayed with Oust regularly.

It's not a strong smell, but there isn't a window in there so I guess scents can't really dissapear with some fresh air! Actually, it's maybe not even cat pee it smells like, it's more just dusty from the litter!

Either way, I'm about to clean it because of poo'gate 2010, he did it before I went to bed so it was soap and water, plus dettol.

What amazes me, is he can co-ordinate himself into the smaller litter tray no problem and manage a wee fine, but in the huge box he manages to poo over the side. That's just a man for you :p

He's been very greedy this morning, me and DD were scoffing nutella on toast (it's made from hazlenuts so totally 1 of our 5 a day) and he jumped up on DD and just stuck his face right into her toast, his whole face was covered in chocolate spread and he was purring his head off licking it all off!!

Probably not exactly the best food for him, but I'd rather he eat that, than have a go at my watercress seeds on the window or my cherry tomato plant I'm growing on the table (cat hairs work well with compost right? the top layer is white!!)

That's all his tablets finished now, he keeps eagerly looking at the fridge at the times he was getting them. Clearly hoping for cream cheese goodness, but they are getting some raw mince later, so he can just wait! (plus there is only a lil bit of cheese left, and I want it!)
  • Buttonmoons if you didn't get a photo of Archie with his face covered in Nutella I'm going to be quite cross with you.

Archie poo'ed on the floor last night! Ewwwwwww.

I think what had happened, was he turned round in the box to get to optimum position (makes it difficult for him with the cone) and his bum ended up hanging over the side, hence poo's right below the littlebox. That box is a hooded one (I've took the lid off until his cone is off) So his butt must off been really high to poo over the side, but he managed to get 1 piece in the box.

I caught him as he was trying to scratch at the poo on the floor

They aren't really scentless when they first come out :rotfl:

I didn't manage to get a picture of his choccy face unfort :(

I think it was all a ploy for me to take his cone off for a thorough clean! He's had it off all day today, he doesn't even go near his stitches, I've popped it back on now and he's away huffing down the side of the TV (well he tried too, the cone stopped him so he went in backwards :rotfl:)

He was demanding huggles from OH tonight, he likes it rough, so OH was playing around with him, and Arhie ended up flopping over him and licking his hairy legs! Traitor!! (not that I have hairy legs.....:o)

Oooh that looks good Spike! Only thing is they have a huge hooded litter tray, which does prevent poo's flying out, but the lid is off right now to allow the conehead entrance, they have another tray like the one above, but they just pee in that one, so not too bad!

I was running my hands over his stitches earlier, and they have healed great! The stitches stick out more now because the swelling has went down. Which is fab, obviously :D Bet he'll be glad to get them out on Wednesday.

I'll be glad when my furminator arrives, my clothes are heaving with cat pubics! I love wearing leggings, so unless I invest in white pairs, I'm always gonna look a scruffy cow now :D

You know OH likes Archie really (he named him Archibald, it gets shortened lol) and as he is more chilled out with the cone, he has been getting to sleep in our bed with us (usually they get locked out because he starts attacking me when I sleep!) and he has been cuddling up next too OH, and OH has been letting him under the covers.....Strictly for hot water bottle purposes...he says.

    YEAH YEAH!

Emlou have you looked at the Fish4Cats kibble? That is fish and potato IIRC and cheaper than Orijen. If you want a high fish wet then Feline Fayre and Pets at Home Purely in the 160g tins are the cheapest for the quality. Apologies if I have made these suggestions before! :o
How random, I've actually ordered some of that this morning to try! It does work out a lot cheaper. I ordered a 7.5kg bag and some treats, and inc delivery it came to £36, so much better. I am getting increasingly annoyed with pet food shops, they just dont stock the variety of cat food that they do dog food - I spent much of this morning ringing round pet shops asking if they stocked Wafcol, Orijen, Arden Grange and Fish4cats, and all the ones within a 10 mile radius stocked them, but only in dog food!
Em, I'm sure Argos only do a 5% discount online, how much cashback do you get? The reason I called was cause there was no option for 2 cats! But I think it's because if you have 2 cats, you get a multi discount which is about the same as the 5% one, and they probably don't want you having both. Just do 1 at a time I guess?!
I did one online, and waiting til the £20 quidco comes through to ring up and add the other one ;) I fear that if I do one and add the other straightaway they wont pay it! I'm impressed though, only £8 a month on the platinum one to cover the hairy Balinese!

Hehe, I remember when we first got a cat, DH had never had one before and was all 'I don't want an animal sleeping with us on top of the bed' - I think he lasted all of two months before relenting - and now he gets quite upset if the cat isn't in the bed under the covers with us! :D Men are silly.

  • I have cat insurance with Pet Plan and they incuded cystitis in the cover, even though my cat's had it before. When you phone them, you tell them about exisiting conditions and they will speak to an underwriter while you are on the phone, and they 'll tell you there and then whether they'll provide cover or not. I'd suggest giving them a ring, they're really helpful.

    Hope that helps!

:rotfl:My OH is the same, in front of people always calls them "those bloody cats!" but quite often I come in to find him laying on the sofa with one cat on his chest and another one down by his feet!

He's even started taking coco out on his harness - much to the amusement of his friends mind!

Well he is now stitch and cone free, hurrah!

The vet said to me, Oh I'll go get the vet nurse to hold him down.

I said no need, he'll love it. He did. Was purring his face off and trying to rub his chin off the vet as he was snipping the stitches out :rotfl: Most docile cat ever.

Even when I was looming over him to cone his head again, all he did was squint his eyes, he'd just sit there and let you do it. If that was my other cat, I'd be trying to pull the wee moo from behind the unit in the bathroom. Impossible to get her when she's down there!!

Apparently, Archie is slightly overweight BAHAHAHA, his bones jut out! Apparently that's totally normal though and it's only because cats are so fat nowadays it seems strange. Anyhoo, he weighs 4.6kg, and should weigh around 4kg, as I did notice he has a fat belly, more obvious when it's naked, reminds me off a naked lady garden the way it folded over the stitches :rotfl:

My other cat has no hope, she weighs 4.1 and looks "thick" and is a bit thick too! I remember when she got neutered she weighed 3.7kg and apparently that was slightly too much too. She's not obese so I don't worry but it's hard to get her moving, she's the laziest effing cat ever.

She mentally disfigures you with a glare when you go infront of her with a dangly mouse. How bloody dare I interrupt her 22 hour long sleep, unless it was for food. Jesus Christ!!!

Would it be mean to put his cone back on because he's jumping and scratching my door again :rotfl:

It's the feline version of Supernannys naughty step.

Karen's time out cone!! Only £6.99 +VAT at vets near you!

I'm angry at him anyways because he stole my tuna sandwich, I left for about THREE SECONDS, and I'm hungry because Tesco never showed up with my delivery  so I have no food and erm neither do they! No wet at least.

So I had to go to the garage and buy overpriced sachets to last them until they appear tomorrow(hopefully!)
