I have had a call from Victim Support in case I'm traumatised. After I yelled at them I bet the 'ladies' were more traumatised than me!

Nice to see you Prettypennies...I was just thinking about you...

I have been to Mr S and got two packs of smoked salmon whoopsied to £1.49 from £4.28. Now all I have to do is remember the recipe I wanted to try, which I have COMPLETELY forgotten...

  • AnW’sMum – what a great sentiment and a great analogy about Rome – never thought about cleaning in that way!

Pigpen – I just had to clean the lampshades (x 3) I don’t think they have ever been done since they went up :o – and I won’t tell you when that was!! If things weren't on the list, I wouldn't feel compelled to do them so it's your fault :D Big hugs for you about DS, do school have any support or other agencies that may be able to help you with him?

Valli - I keep noticing that your location is Derbyshire, whereabouts are you? I’m just nosey :rotfl: I am on the Notts/Derbys border……

Poohbear – what sort of books do you have listed?

Managed to complete Monday – DH came back when I was putting the lampshades back up – I wasn’t in too much trouble although the rib is now aching alongside the back after all the overstreching. He did however cook the dinner for me whilst I completed the lounge – yippeeeee

Can I have a Monday star please Toots!

Can I have Monday star please?

I think I just didn't update in time! Thank you! Now where's that stupid crochet hook gone? Is anyone in leicester that can spare a 5mm-7mm hook for a couple of weeks, I think my 6 mm is lost in the mists of time. And i've tidied up so it actually isn't here. :(

Not bad for day 1, week 1, but aim was to complete level 1 and I haven't actually done that :o, will have to sort those shelves tomorrow!

I tested the smoke alarm and it worked, but then continued to beep saying the battery was low and can't find a spare. OH has been instructed to bring 2 home tomorrow (to keep one as a spare!) and will then be able to cross that off.

I also have to say despite being pleased with my dusting and de-webbing, at the mention of lampshades, I have just looked up to see my 6 glass shades looking awful, dusty and cobwebs, ooops! Will have to tackle them at some point when OH is around to help reach.

    Thanks for the motivation!

Sandy71 - what is Weetabix cake - sounds intriguing....
Penny - you are an inspiration. The only way I will ever achieve 50 consecutive weeks will be to move into a studio flat, alone and become agoraphobic.

New TD arrives on Thursday. £149 with Quidco cashback and the old one 'recycled' free of charge - although wondering if I should Freegle it in case anyone has a husband like BenW's :D. Thanks for your advice ladies, I went with your most popular recommendation.

Have loaded DW and cleared kitchen, swapped name tapes on DD1s school cardigans to DD2s, sewn on a Brownie badge and lit the fire (twice). A good day's work I feel  .

Piggers - send your son here. DD2's new school has transformed her leftie scrawl into legible rounded letters. Truly amazing. They have an excellent record with 'challenging' children too. Mind you, I'd probably kill him....:o

    I'm in again this week.

Last week I only managed Monday. No excuses. I was a lazy lady dog! :o :rotfl:

Anyway, I thought I'd get a headstart on tomorrows list by doing.....the kitchen.... :rotfl:Typically we are starting the week with the living room. I shall do a HHC soon to get a head start on it for tomorrow.

Have my SW weigh in in the morning. Since I have ahad a binge today I am not hopeful of any loss. :o

Right...HHC 10.10-10.40 anyone. On a sunday night, lol?!?! :rotfl:

I shall report back to prove I did it! :D

  • Just a quick post. Life just seems hectic at the moment. I've been working lots of hours the last couple of weeks and staying on top of my OU work too. This is week 2 of OU and I'm halfway through week 3's work already!:j

Not done much in the lounge today but I've dried and folded put away lots of washing (more to do:() and tidied the kitchen so it looks presentable now. DH has popped to his mum and dads as its their wedding anniversary. It also would have been my Grandad's birthday today, so I'm feeling a bit sad.

Anyway, I won't bother posting a list as I've not done much from today's.

Oh well, that's put paid to my post....DD2's just woken up. Will be back....

Dorastar for all we know PenPen may live in a 6x6 box and it takes all of 2 mins to do!!!!

When can I move in? Sounds like my idea of heaven - actually sounds suspiciously like a prison cell - which tbh also sounds like my idea of heaven right now - no kids, no dh, free cooked food, no laundry, no difficult clothes decisions every day :D oh apart from the minor lack of civil liberties and freedom of course.

Only joking honestly (don't want to offend anyone) although Ems did tell her class teacher she couldn't write a story about her dad leaving home cos "mum said he's only leaving home if he's in a box under the patio" no wonder the staff at her school keep giving me funny looks!
