Froddy do your school not do appointments? We have to fill out a form to say if we want an appointment and whether we want after school 3-5pm or an evening 6pm onwards. If you have more than one kid at school then the two teachers get together and give you appointments where you don't have to wait in between. It's the same at the high school you fill in a form stating what class teachers you want to see and they set appointments for them for you.

    Morning lovely flyladies,
    welcome2.gifAlizarin and all our newbies
Funfairprincess - Hope you manage to go back to bed and get some sleep
    Toots - hugs.gif
LadyL - love.gif Moi? Nag? You must have me mixed up with that Jinky woman! HSwhistle.gif
    Rosepink - kiss.gif
    Jinkypink - smooch.gif
    Poppy - hugs.gif
Macpep - Hope you feel better today
junior j - You are making a great start, well done!
Holly - How is your son today?
cosmomo - Weetabix cake is delicious. A bit like a malt loaf but not as dense. It keeps really well and toasts like a tea cake too. Recipe HERE. I usually add a extra bit of cinnimon as we like it.
Hospital appt went as well as it could. I lost some more weight which was nice and had a diabetes eye test too - my first one.

Friends down for dinner and some board games tonight. There is no truth in the rumours that it may get rather raucous and competitive! (Though none of us drink so we cannot blame the booze for that!)
Off to find a list or two.

If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...

  • Soooo my lists today are:

Feed the cat at least twice
    Brush the cat
    Sort and delete 30 emails
    reply to emails
    Clean bathroom sink
Spray bleach on the bottoms of the shower curtains
    Email R
    Fill WM and put on

    Extras

Ring orange about my missing credit
    fridge and baking cupboard inventory?
Ring Drs - double appt needed
    finish thank you card
Get some compost in baby pots
    Post parcels to the girls
    clean and tidy dining table

I hope everyone has a good day - with love and light and flylady hugs.gif to anyone who needs them.

Froddy it gets about the same response at my sons special school as parents just go to the frequent reviews & some struggle very much (I do if DP is at work) with childcare. They're considering offering childcare at DS1s school but still it's a lot getting a child with special needs + others mobile on a cold evening. I always go but now they phone to ask who will definately go as staff have sat around for nothing before.

I realise that - I was moaning more about the silly way we have parents' evening rather than the fact that the parents didn't come. I think there's only one parent I haven't seen at all this term - and, yes, child care is a huge problem for a lot of them.
Froddy do your school not do appointments? We have to fill out a form to say if we want an appointment and whether we want after school 3-5pm or an evening 6pm onwards. It's the same at the high school you fill in a form stating what class teachers you want to see and they set appointments for them for you.

Unfortunately not - we used to, and we used to have an earlier start which i think was better! Now we all sit in the hall and parents turn up anytime between 5 and 7. To be fair, I do only have 10 in my class and 2 of them have asked to see me when they pick their child up in the week.

Right - must rush or I'll be late for school ......... have a good day all x
