Morning everyone.
You all know me well enough now to know I'm rubbish with abbreviations ... what's BD mean - not on front page?
Loving catching up with all the stories.
Froddy, that's quite strange. All the parents evenings we've been too have been mobbed busy. I think it's rare that a parent doesn't turn up.
Am on a short day today, so hopefully going to get my flying done this afternoon, and then out this p.m.
Diva, thanks for the weetabix recipe, I was intrigued too. I love malt loaf, so will happily give this a go.
Made Toad in the Hole for the first time ever last night, and that went down very well, except I think I put in too much batter, will reduce it next time.
Have a great day everyone x0 -

Morning everyone.

BD = Black Dog and is a euphemism for depression. Someone wrote a book once describing depression as a black dog that kept sitting at his feet or wanting to come in through the door and the ways in which he tried to get rid of him.

Depends which thread you are on. Here it generally means Black Dog, meaning depression (after Winston Chruchill).
Some threads it means Baby Dancing (antidote to depression!!)Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Ahhh, thanks - someone on last weeks thread mentioned black dog and I thought it was a referral to the Grim in Harry Potter, which turns out to be 'good' anyway. I guess I wasn't hugely far wrong.
Well in that case Piggers, I hope your day goes better than expected x0 -
