On a side note - we are currently trying to arrange the time we have the LO over Easter and he has an inset day next Wednesday.
This is all normally done by text, so we sent her the text on Friday and we still haven't received a reply - I think she is going to try to deny we ever sent it to her. Don't know what to do as Easter holidays are in two weeks tomorrow and we have previously been accused of giving her too little notice and then we don't get to see the LO half the time as her solicitors letter states.
Obviosuly during this time it is imperative that he doesn't spend long periods in his mother's care as she is very manipulative.0 -
I know this is a bit random, but have you maybe spoken to the headmistress about getting a written statment or letter from the LO at school, that way you have a written letter or something to help you back up your LO's wishes if it ever came to court, that way if she gets the LO to do it and write it in her presence, it can be seen as an individual statement, so his mother cant try and say your OH forced him to write him. Little bit off track but it could be something which may help you in the long run.0

Really need some advice on sorting out the holidays through all this the LO will be devastated if his mother tryies to stop us having him half the time which it looks like she's doing.0

I think you are going to have to apply to the court to get your contact arrangements formalised or at least looked at again.
Have you tried the family rights group frg.org.uk website or citizens advice?0 -
Stop with the texting, didn't your solicitor already tell you that letters were the way to go? Write, keep a copy and send it recorded delivery. Half the problems we've experienced have been because my husband and his mum keep slipping back into 'how we've always done it' and then when it goes wrong there's no paper trail to prove that we've been trying to sort it out and she's the one blocking things and breaching the order.
I know you say you can't afford it but I really think you haven't a choice here, she isn't going to wake up on day and magically see the error of her ways. A paper trail will really help, regardless of whether you use a solicitor or go it alone.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

Dear xx
As there has been no response to texts sent between x and y this letter is to request confirmation of holiday dates
Please advise what dates are convenient and how you can be contacted when there is a problem with your phone.

Unless I hear from you by the end of this week, I shall have to assume that the dates I have suggested are convenient to you, namely xxx to xxx (or whatever).
