Thinking of getting social services involved?

Ok I have posted before about my stepson desperately wanting joint residency...
This last week he has had a particularly nightmarish time with his mother and has been very vocal this weekend about how unhappy he is and how much she makes him unhappy by not listening to him and being really rude to him when he says how much he wants to see his father.
So my fiance has suggested we get the social services involved, it is so clear he is unahppy, in the past his school has noticed and got involved and something really needs to be done because he is suffering, every week when he goes back to her he is in tears/has tears in his eyes or is holding them back.
Just wondering if this is a good idea really? I've heard good and bad stuff, we just really want his voice to be heard.

social services do not tend to become involved in cases like this as it is seen as the responsibility of the courts, you should talk to the child's mother and if that doesn't work go to a lawyer,0

Lepetit, it might be worth giving links to the previous posts you've started about the problems had with your stepson and his mother, as you've given a lot of the information that people would need to know to answer this.
I don't want to do it in case I upset you.
For the record you've always come across as a woman who loves her stepson deeply, and wants what is best for him.The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -

I think you need to get some some advice about the situation. Not sure of the best place really, Maybe a chat to someone in the CAB bureau. I'm not sure social services is the best place as they are so stretched at the moment and I don't think they would get involved if there arent any issues about neglect or abuse. You might be better of contacting a charity like the nspcc or national children's homes (NCH)or Barnardos. Im sure someone there would set you in the right direction.0

I know Social Services would get involved because we know a father whose is an extremely similar situation to us in the same town who has just got social services involved with his daughter.0
