Many years ago had a phone call from a pensioner. She wanted a reduction in her Council Tax because she lived in a small terraced cottage down a remote lane with virtually non existent street lighting and it was very dark at night walking home. As all the disadvantages were already reflected in the band, I said she couldn't have a reduction. She replied "I could be raped", intimating that she could be attacked as she walked down the lane in the dark.

Did she think a Council Tax reduction would prevent a possible rape or would compensate for such a traumatic experience?

I did spend 2 weeks in L.A complaining that nowhere gave you vinegar with your chips (fries) lol This was resolved on the next to last day when I discovered a Fish & Chip restaurant in Disneyland tucked away where I had not seen it before. I filled my bag with vinegar sachets

apparently it's based on a true event and the Rozzer in question laughed that much the offending youth was let off with a b#llocking

I was watching an airport programme on some Sky channel tonight. There was a family on and it was their first trip abroad - to Benidorm. They said that they liked the food. They'd only been eating at British pubs and McDonalds. :rotfl:

I have never laughed so long and so loud for ages. No wonder we brits are the laughing stock of THE WORLD.. we are so stupid arent we, but we think we are just the bees knees!!!!!!!

It's worse when your in a shop and someone comes up to you and just starts asking you questions about the stock even though you don't work there
