This one was a classic for me.... For my sins I'm a Stoke supporter, and rumours are rife around these parts that one of our Players, Matty Etherington is being tipped for England. Someone set up a Facebook group called "Etherington For England" and the following screencap came from it....

i was on the landline phone the other day talking to a friend when my mobile rang, it was my mum so i quickly said my goodbyes to my friend thinking something was wrong with mum as she never rings my mobile. when i rang her back and asked what was wrong she said nothing, i just rang your mobile because your landline was engaged.????????? yes mum i was on the phone!!!!! :rotfl:

Edit. Just remembered a stupid thing I NEARLY said once.

An ambulance was driving past with it's lights flashing but making no sound. My OH noticed and pulled to the side. I was just about to say, "I hate it when you're driving and the Ambulances drive past with the lights flashing but no noise, what if you were blind?" but stopped myself just in time when I realised how stupid that was!

I then told my OH what I nearly said and now he still teases me about it =/
