My nan was at the chemist picking up some medicine a few years ago. But wanted to get some batteries while she was there. Why oh why I went with her I'll never know...

Nan: Hello dear can I have some Durex please
    Staff: Uhhh
Me: Uhh nan, are you sure...
Nan: Course I am dear, I need some of the extra strong ones!
Staff: O.k, here you go *puts on counter*
    Nan: *horrified look*

At this point I didnt know whether to die of embarassment or laughter, lol.

thats BRILLIANT lol although not as good as my nan wanting to come to our "girly night" (ann summers party, butler in the buff, OAP! . . NO!!! )
  • After meeting someone for the first time, ie new work colleague we have some small talk, discuss family, brother, sisters age etc. Then comes the question "so when is your brother and sister's birthday". (At this stage i have already told them i'm a triplet). It gets people every time.
Silliest thing ever said was from my boyfs legendary nan. She called him up while he was cooking tea, asked him what he was doing, "I'm cooking tea nan", - "oooooooh that smells good" i kid u not.

OAP!!!! good heavens - this generation is the first generation to have 'girly nights' with toys and strippers of course.

I hate it when I ask my OH a question and he replies 'I dunno, you tell me'
  • A strange one, but when something was threatening to happen which my nan didn't want to, she'd say "I'd sooner see my coffin walk down the street!"

Old Ladies- oh we will just wait and see
Me- he said buses can't even leave station. I would just go home.
An hour later i walked past again to see them still stood there!!!:rotfl:

Me: I'm off on holiday soon
    Someone else: Oooh, anyway nice?
    Me: No, I thought I'd visit a complete sh!thole.

That's a particular favourite of mine.

Just realised - davidlizard's already done that one. How about... It's too cold for snow.... Aaarggghhh, I hate that. No, it's not! It's fr!gging freezing, and snowing!
