Morning folks - a strenuous day looming - the arrival of the three DGDs is imminent! Not a good day yesterday - lots of running around to be done in the morning and we ended up going to the local carvery for a late lunch. I'll be good, I thought, no Yorks Pud or roasties, but somehow they found themselves on my piled up plate after all! After that I didn't feel like much tea and just had a slice of toast then some fruit, SF jelly and FF vanilla yogurt.
Have a good day all!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Durrrrrrrr! Forgot to weigh in this morning:eek::eek::eek:
I dont believe that I have gone from weighing daily to forgetting to weigh once a week. I think it was because I was up in the night drinking tea. Anyway I will remember to weigh in tomorrow morning.
It has been a bit of a week so not expecting great things but hoping for a pound. Now i have seen that picture of a pound I am definitely not going to dismiss it :T:T:T
Good luck for all those weighing in today xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Morning all
Failed to go and exercise AGAIN last night  I'm so cross with myself. Was going to go up with DH to register for gym membership, and then go for a swim, but he was late in from work, so by the time he got home it was already 730 and I was soooo hungry. We're going to sign up tonight, no excuses, and if he's late and there's no time to exercise we'll go back in the morning before his opticians appointment *looks determined*
DH needs to lose about the same amount as me, and while he's adjusted to the change in diet with no complaints, getting him to exercise is a challenge. Once we get signed up I'm going to make him take his gym/swimming stuff to work so he can go straight there on the way home. Hopefully once he gets his new glasses on Saturday he won't be coming home with a headache every day, so he'll actually go!
Today's meals;
Breakfast: Muller Breakfast Corner
Lunch: Herby wrap with LO veggie curry and rocket, satsumas, apple, grapes
Dinner: pumpkin soup and seedy bread
Exercise:swimming (hopefully!)Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Morning all.
Weigh day for me today and that pound I thought I had lost earlier in the week is definitely still missing. That means I've now - finally - got to within 200g of my target weight, which I'm going to count as 'achieved'.
Due to some rather bad planning on my part, today will be very heavy on the bread: I just hope the carb overdose doesn't do too much damage after all my hard work.
B - crust of HM white bread with butter and honey
S - apple
L - chicken, stuffing and HG tomato sandwich; some sort of fruit (I've got to buy some at lunchtime)
D - takeaway pizza and wine.Well, it's been a bad week and I deserve a treat!
Exercise - walk up to the shops at lunchtime.
Have a good day, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
CCP :T Well done on getting to your target weight, hope you'll still be sticking around though, to inspire the rest of us? ETA - Oops, sorry
well, well done on meeting your target this year and I see no reason why you shouldn't carry on trying for at least a month with the rest of us
WI this morning, very happy with 165lb exactly. So 1.6lb less than last week. This is my losing weight time of the month though, I have to make the most of it as in a week or two the bloat will happen. Which really sets me back as there are only 10 weeks left of the challenge and I have 11lb to go so it's not looking like I will make it, but I will do my best to get as close as possible. (Already planning January challenge!)
I will post the list a bit later when more updates come in or I shall just be changing it all day. Well done all losers and keep it up everyone else, you'll get there.
Molly41 how frustrating, I hate it when I miss my weighing window! Good luck for tomorrows WI.
ETA - Exercise - 80 lengths (1hour) swimming last night and 30 minutes on MyFitnessCoach this morning (way better than the Wii fit, I worked up a proper sweat and burned 178cal)June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

CCP :T Well done on getting to your target weight, hope you'll still be sticking around though, to inspire the rest of us?
Sorry, I didn't put that very clearly - that was only my target for this year - I've still got the same again to go to reach my overall target - another 10kg.I won't be worrying about it too much until next year, though, having always intended to focus on keeping the weight off over the winter rather than losing any more.
As the weather's still nice and I'm feeling fairly OK at the moment I'm going to carry on at least until the end of this month - I'd like to lose another kg by then, but I'll see how I get on.
And yes, I'll definitely be sticking around over the winter, even though I won't be actively trying to lose weight - I have a tendency to put back on all the weight I've lost during the winter months, so I'll need some encouragement to be good and not do the same thing again this year.Back after a very long break!0 -
At last we're on the move again, downwards. 1lb off this week, so pleased as this sts thing is beginning to bug me (and it sounds like some nasty personal disease!
)
B - F&F ss milk
L - Crispbreads with lf cheese, hg cherry tomatoes, apple
D - Chicken casserole. Making bread for my visitors to have with it, as I'm avoiding bread where poss I'll just have the meat & veg
Exercise - rushing around cleaning & general tidying as I have a visitor for coffee and DS and DGS coming this afternoon for the weekend
CCP I too eat more in winter so not looking forward to the cold, but planning lots of soups, fish, and white meat casseroles with pulses to fill me up and keep me warm. A bit between a rock and a hard place re exercise, if it's too cold I have to have the heating on, if the heating's on it chucks my breathing all out of kilter! Never mind, look on the bright side - it'll soon be spring :rotfl:
Happy Friday all0 -

Well done to CCP, Ragz and Sparrer on your respective weight loss :T:T:T
Hope everyone's doing well today. I have been swimming today, swam 64 lengths [1600 metres] in 1 hour 5 minutes. That a new personal best for me [this time round, not in my whole life]. Now I'm going to work at doing it in under the hour. I have also decided I am going to join the gym after the half term holidays. I have never even set foot in a gym before so I am feeling a bit nervous.
My meal plans for today -
B - sliced banana, LF greek yoghurt, honey and nuts
L - Halloumi light, in a wholemeal pitta with tomatoes and cucumber, a nectarine
D - chilli rice.
As today is Friday [treat day in our house] I will also be having a couple of little treats , probably a few pringles and a cookie. Hopefully I have enough will power not to overdo it.
Good luck for the weekend everyone.0 -
Had another cruddy evening, was fine til me and my fella started ona t each other, I've been watching what I eat for 2 weeks now and this week he decides to give up smoking so you can imgaine what it's like at times!! Anyway when I am feeling upset/insecure I eat... so I did!
On top of yesterdays stuff I have 3 asda kids fruit bags, a plain egg sandiwch and a digestive. Could have been worse, just didn't have any properly naughty stuff in!!
Anyway todays plans:
B: had mullerlite and 2 boiled eggs - bread had gone mouldy yuk!
L: last of the brocolli soup and might treat myself to a fancy wrap thing from asdachicken in the slowcooker, with stirfried courgette red onion and brocolli, with mashed sweet potato
Snacks: monster munch x1 - my evening treat, mullerlite and jelly, fruit
I won't be on over the weekend as I have 3 events to go to all being well - including a chocolate festival!! so am going to make the healthiest choices I can but I know it'll be a struggle which is why I was trying to be very good all week to offest it, but that kind of went out of the window!Trying very hard to be frugal and OS - just plodding on and doing my best!
