Have a look at the Slimming World thread - you can eat loads more than that & drop a dress size in less time.0

Losing weight quickly is never a good idea because it's not only unhealthy but the weight will pile back on if you return to your usual diet. We have an existing thread on losing weight the old style way healthily so I've added your thread to it as you will get good support and healthy advice there.

lucylema - no you would not lose a stone in 12 weeks on the diet you propose because you are human and simply would not be able to stick to it - you'd be bored and resentful and eating for comfort within a week.
However, losing a stone in 12 weeks, ie for Xmas, should be doable provided you are not trying to get to a ridiculously low weight. Read all the suggestions on the thread your post has been moved to - there are people on it who have done well and will be able to give you good advice.

It is lovely to see so many new people posting :T:T:T
I had a good day yesterday as regards food and exercise. Well when I say exercise, I mean just moving around more:j:j:j
We also follow Paul McK as my DD has issues with her weight. We do need to get into it more though but I really like the way he approaches weight loss and agree with his thoughts about diets (they make us feel like we have failed in that we have to go on a diet!).
Well Im finally beginning to feel snoozy so will catch up with you later xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Hi lucylema, you are very welcome to join this thread if it appeals to you. The best thing I have done this year was learn about what a variety of healthy foods my body needs. Joining this thread plus this website>

got me started on my weight loss/healthy eating journey. There are loads of other resources posted on this thread which have been very helpful.
Exercise completed today, I am finding the earlier I do it in the day, the better. I feel more positive afterwards. Well done to all who are persevering and not giving up, come back those of you who have, it is never too late !
Have a good day everyone.
Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.0 -
Afternoon all.
My day today:
B - two slices HM brown bread with a scraping of butter and honey; banana
L - Lo spicy crab and veg noodles; LF blackcurrant yoghurt
S - two plums
D - green veg and pasta soup
Exercise - my usual lunchtime walk - I'll try and do a bit more than 20 minutes today.Back after a very long break!0 -
Hi everyone
Well last night's meal was well received, I needn't have worried as everyone came back for more.
Today I don't really fancy food but made a half-hearted effort to eat something. So tired I just want to sleep but have to get the flu jab this pm so will wait til after then and have a late siesta.
B - half a pear
L - the other half
D - green salad
Snacks - possibly some fruit
It's been a interesting exercise, made me realise I've become a bit of a fruit/veg fan and heavy meals don't suit me any more. I've got cream, a little steak, mashed potato and a tiny bit of green salad in the fridge, all that appeals is salad. Lucky dog/cats!

Afternoon All,
It's much colder here today and feels like October for the first time. DH and I went out for lunch with DS, DDIL and DGD earlier then I brought DGD home whilst DS and DDIL went off to work for the afternoon. We had a short walk picking conkers and she is now having her afternoon nap.
B: Muesli
S: Apple
L: Double egg and chips, although I gave DH some of my chips. Couple of pieces of dark chocolate with my coffee.Pancake stuffed with spinach, onions, garlic and mushrooms and topped with cheese and served with salad. Raspberries with Greek yoghurt.
Exercise: 1 1/2 hours of exercise classes - strength, weights and abs. Walk to class and also walk to cafe and back so just over 2 miles, some of which was carrying DGD when she ran out of energy.
ETA: Had another walk to the shops and to take DGD home so another mile to add to the exercise total, but counteracted by a bowl of muesli for supper!
