Delighted. Got on scales this morning and am 9 st 'something' for the first time in 30 years! 9st 13 1/2 actually, but getting there. Have to finish what's in fridge today as travelling back to the UK tomorrow, so think food will be mainly omlette, baked potato, salad etc.

    Morning all.

I'm feeling really cross myself - last night I defrosted two portions of pizza intending to eat the rest for lunch today, then remembered that I'm getting lunch at work, so I ate the lot for dinner. I don't know why I did it - the pizza was very greasy and not particularly nice, and I just ended up feeling slightly sick and very guilty. :o:(

I really must do better!

    Anyway, today goes:

B - three wheat biscuits with sliced banana and SS milk
L - whatever work provides - very boring - a skinny ham salad sandwich, a bag of s&v crisps, and an orange which I gave to a colleague as I don't much like citrus fruit
    S - apple
D - prawn and veg Thai curry with noodles

Exercise - hopefully a walk at lunchtime, although it depends what time I get out of the work event or not - it looked like it was about to pour and I chickened out of going far from the office! :o
Back after a very long break!

Well Done Sloan! :T If only I could get to the 10 'something'!

Had to day well planned out with BranFlakes & Banana for breakfast & a nice salad for lunch, but I've only gone and left the whole lot at home. So I'm now starving with nothing to eat to keep me going which always ends up with grabbing the crisps at work and buying a really unhealthy s/wich from the ButtyMan. :naughty:

    Afternoon all!
Sloan, that is one of my goals to be 9st something one day so well done you!
I have not posted for a while because I have started exercising more and I just didn't have the time , but I have been thinking of everyone. I know it is a little extreme, but I am trying to burn 3500 cals off per week, and I am into my second week now and I can see (small) but good results, I think overall I have been exercising for 5 weeks now, but I have noticed more since just this last couple of weeks, than in the last month, so heres to me keeping this up for the next two weeks!

Finally got around to weighing myself this morning before breakfast.

Not as bad as I thought 12 stone 3 1/2 lb. So have put on about 2 lb in the last month.

Will wait a week and see if my current diet needs adjusting.

Back later to read diaries etc and lurk

Hello all, managed to sneak online while DH is out hunting. Just been arguing with a poster on the grabbit board who was trying to tell people that spending £16 on 10 days of a glorified Slimfast mix is a bargain because it usually costs over £50... yeah but how's 10 days worth going to make you slim? Doh! Anyway...

Managed 28 lengths of the pool yesterday (in 25 minutes) my new record and I didn't have to keep stopping for rest so I must be getting fitter. GOt my race for life Saturday not sure I'm going to be able to run the whole thing but will give it a good try.

Made an interesting Turkey mince curry thing last night just had the rest for dinner today... I seem to have developed an addiction to Lidl energy drinks, thankfully have run out now... 113calories each, maybe I should get the sugar free ones. I've never really been in favour of SugarFree stuff, but perhaps it has its place. House is now empty of icecream and wine, so perhaps I am safe from those for a few days. Must get back on the straight and narrow if I want to be 12st3lb or less by end of the month.

It sort of makes sense because the 'feeling hungry' mechanism switches off overnight when the bodyis in a 'fast' and the metabolism slows down. It will not speed up until it gets some decent food.

If you want to be slim, fit and healthy you need optimal levels of nutrients cutting out one meal a day means less chance of getting all the nutrients you need.

If you plan to eat a good nutritious breakfast (because you're worth it) rather than grab a bit of toast or coffee on the run will make you feel better, less stressed and more in control. You won't waste calories if they are planned. You waste calories on saving them for cake, snacks and booze.

Couldn't have put that better myself :)

ragz lol at the Slimfast ad, sad that so many peeps will fall for it

Weigh-day today and in spite of devouring that half pizza on Tues I'm down one notch to 10st 13.6lb. Just thinking what I'd be if I'd had the proper, planned meal, but serves me right for being piggy. Anyway it's one more step in the right direction :)

Congratulations or commiserations where needed, have a good day's di-eating
