    Good afternoon all.

ragz - very well done on your RFL for success. :T

Ida - I know exactly what you mean about self-sabotage as I have a tendency to do the same thing, although not with chocolate oranges as I don't like chocolate. ;)

I didn't post yesterday as I decided to have a day off - I've been struggling so much recently that I hoped a day of eating what I liked, rather than struggling and feeling guilty, might get me back on track. Here's hoping it works!

    Today goes:

B - two slices HM banana and raisin bread with butter; banana
S - possibly an apple - the bread's very filling so I'm not sure if I'll need a snack
D - pasta with broad bean, tomato and anchovy sauce; nectarine

Exercise - probably nothing more energetic than cleaning the bathroom, as the weather is unbelievably nasty in Portsmouth today. :(

    Have a good day, all.
Back after a very long break!

    B F&F, grapefruit juice
    L chicken sandwich, nectarine
D chicken thigh, new tatties, roasted garlic, broad beans. Ice cream cone :o
Snacks grapes, slice cantaloupe, jam sandwich :o, 4 Q.Street chocolates

Exercise - climbing up and down the ladder cleaning the lounge windows and frame, taking down, washing and rehanging nets, ironing and rehanging heavy curtains
  • Morning all - in haste this morning. Just awaiting the arrival of the 3 DGD's to look after for the day. Then we are popping over to the caravan for a couple of days of rest and relaxation before they are back again Thursday and Friday! It was easier working honestly!! As much as we love them, it will be heaven next week, we have a free week!

Stuck to plan again yesterday (wow 2 days running!) so hope I can keep it up for the rest of the week and see a loss on Saturday - the dreaded weigh day! Will report back on my return. Have a good week all.

Morning all, well done to the losers, keep at it at to the rest of us. I seem to be on an STS campaign, still 15st 0lb. Still, given that this cough is still hanging around and I feel very tired and not moving about very much I am quite pleased that no weight has gone on.

DH away in Italy this week so I have three days on my own, this can be good or bad, depending on the level of self sabotage as Ida puts it!

Started looking at the FlyLady web site last week and already started doing the swish and swipe of the bathroom. Rather enjoying it looking shiny several days after cleaning it. Also shined the kitchen sink and aiming to keep it shiny. Funny thing is I should know all this already, my Mum always does these things and her house is immaculate all the time.

    Morning People.

Well thankfully STS last week. Considering I havent really watched what I've eaten and we had a Kebab meal on Friday night I'm quite impressed. Will try really hard this week though and get back to losing.

    Today

B - Museli with SS milk
L - HM mushroom soup, yoghurt
    S - Banana
    D - Chicken & mushroom pasta

Good luck with the week ahead everyone :)

I reccomend taking a waist measurement once in a while. Even if the weight loss is slow, I have been suprised to find a drop in inches if not in pounds. Very motivating.

I have varied my lunches a bit with hm lentil soup/split pea soup, the odd microwaved jacket potato, topped with what I would put in a sandwhich eg. tuna or chicken and yoghurt mixed with bit of mayo (no butter). I have finally managed to make a half wholemeal/granary loaf in the breadmaker that I like also.

School holidays are coming up so will need to get my planning head on fast, to make sure we all have enough fruit and veg in regularly, so there are no 'excuses' to stray. The food disappears fast in the holidays!

Have a good Monday everyone :).
Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.

    afternoon :D

not doing too bad on the whole. WI on friday was 11.5 1/2lb which isn't great but could be worse.
for whoever asked the question i am 5'10" so i am only trying to lose a few lbs. ideally 10st 10 would be great but i at least want to be under 11 before my holidays in 6 weeks.
only 6lb for goodness sake but it just seems impossible, i lose 2, put 3 on, lose 1, put 1 back on etc etc
the weekend wasnt great, had a nando's on saturday and a dirty great chinese last night :o but i had been to the gym both days at least.
am really enjoying the gym  my OH and i have been 4 times last week so thats got to help.
    well todays plan is:

small glass hm smoothie, 2 x wm toast

big salad (just eaten it) of tomatoes, LF mozzerella, basil and ciabatta bread. was delish but i may have gone overboard on the garlic :o

not sure about dinner maybe LO veg pasta bake (dont fancy it but it needs eating)

i will hopefully be going shopping to the farm shop today for loads of fruit and veg.

    enjoy your day x

    Afternoon all :)
Back from our camping trip to the coast, no chance to stick to plan, but don't feel like I overate horrendously. Hard to tell when most meals are BBQ though ;)

    Today's meals;
    Breakfast: nature valley bar
lunch: cheese and sausage baguette, crisps, crunchie and pineapple  I seem to have lost all control, must stay away from the work canteen :o

dinner: no idea, will see what i fancy as I have to nip to tesco to collect a christening card and gift for my nephew. something with no effort required :o

Long day tomorrow as we're going to Yorkshire and back for funeral, so will try and get back on the exercise and diet wagon from Wednesday. Will weigh in then, and take my monthly waist measurement.

    Afternoon all.

My plan for today (what's left of today, anyway! ;)):

B - slice of banana and raisin bread with ginger jam; banana
L - work lunch pack - ham and tomato sandwich, s&v crisps and a mandarin - plus a mug of instant soup as the weather's turned seriously chilly!
S - portion of marinated olives (which need to be eaten today or they're going to go off :o)
D - tomato and onion dahl with naan bread; portion of fresh mango

    Have a good day, all.
Back after a very long break!

Well that didn't go too well! Started okay with breakfast of grapefruit juice, then went to DD where we had cream scones, then on to a friend whose b/day it is today, and we had chocolate cake. Whoops!
Dinner will be pasta twists with sun dried tomato pesto
Snacks - as many portions of fruit as I can manage this evening! Will def include melon and a banana.
Tempted to move my weigh day to a Sunday, then I'll have missed it this week ;)

eta I'm 4' 11 3/4" tall, or short, but usually just say 5 feet as breath is at a premium! :D
