im liking the ideas for lunchbox. for a quick easy lunch just needing soaking in boiled water for a few minutes i like ainsley herriot's spice sensation couscous. supermarkets sometimes sell 2 for £1 and costco do big jar that makes around 30 portions for £4.
several of my colleagues take in salad with prawns and bit of low fat dressing/mayo.
boodle the tofu oatballs sound interesting!
been sleeping a lot today but ive not been as bad as mr pincher who didnt get up until 7pm!!!
b: kallo organic wholegrain puffed rice (only ingredient is brown rice! 49p from home bargains)
s: 3/4 of a pineapple (lil pincher ate the other 1/4. from work fruit club but cos it wasnt eaten i brought it home)
l: slept thru
d: half a pizza again grrr. (half price dr oetker funghi so fear it was a lot more than 300 cals), salad and LO couscous

Hello all. Can I come join you
My little one will be 6 weeks on monday so want to start shifting some baby weight. Im breastfeeding so will be doing it nice and slow and eating well but hopefully less calories (no excuse for the amount of choccys ive been eating
) Ive just joined upto the food focus sight I read about on here (thanks:D) and put todays foods in and was nearly 600 calories over what I am going to aim for - so not a great start lol.
I want to lose 20lbs. Im 10st13 now so will see how long it takes! I know ive got to keep my energy up aswell as ive also got 4 other kiddies to run around after aswell as the newborn (who is still feeding which is why im somehow still awak at this time)

Welcome to the "club" mummy2mygirls. Gosh, with 5 children how do you find time to eat!! My DD has 3 (under 6) and when we look after them whilst she is working my meals consist of anything I can grab, in between running around after them! My eating plan goes well and truly to pot on those days! So I admire you and wish you well in your weight loss.
Morning everyone else, hope you are all enjoying the weekend. Another drizzly start here so hope it brightens up, as it did yesterday. I stuck well to plan again yesterday and managed to avoid snacking in the evening (probably because I dozed off on the sofa!) Just devised my plan for today (but the Beef & Mushroom Casserole I left overnight in the slow-cooker for DH smells a bit tempting and I will need constraint at lunchtime!)
B - Benefit flakes and a sliced banana, sk milk.
L - Pasta & well grilled bacon bits in LF cheese sauce. Salad. Dessert my daily fix of SF jelly, meringue nest, strawberries, dollop of FF fromage frais.
D - Some Sainsburys tinned TTD Pomodorini cherry toms on a LF muffin with thin sliced ham and a poached egg. WW berry fromage frais.
S - Hopefully just fruit.
Have a good day all."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Welcome new posters.
I cracked yesterday eve and ate a crunchie and half a twix. I had noticed all week that my motivation was slipping away from me. So I need to have a word with myself, and make sure that I remember all the positive reasons for staying on track.
MissPennyPincher, it makes me smile when you call your OH 'Mr Pincher', so funny (sorry if that is his actual name!). I could come up with a few other names for my OH but they may be inconsistent.
Big slap up roast dinner for Mr Loves not to Paint (that is too long), being Fathers Day. Will aim to post more regularly this week. Enjoy today everyoneHealthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.0 -
welcome to the thread mummy2mygirls. did you set foodfocus to the breastfeeding setting? the extra calories breastfeeding burns is very handy altho i found i felt hungrier! due to health issues lil pincher cudnt bf so i expressed for 3 months and the additional weightloss was some motivation whilst expressing when shattered in middle of night and thinking only got 2 hours before he wakes again lol (supposedly best time to express to keep supply up).
travellingabuela going to bed early is my tactic to avoid evening snacking lol is the low fat cheese recipe similar to the one ragz mentioned?
stay strong lovetopaint x happy fathers day to mr loves not to paint lol dont worry oh is not called mr pincher hehe. he does have an embarrassing mr men type name tho!! lil pincher on the other hand loves to pinch my belly fat whenever he spots it!! tortuous on several different levels lol
plan today:
b: wholegrain rice puffs with half ff milk and half water
s: orange
l: lamb chop (fat removed and grease soaked up with0 -
Morning all
Have had my WI this morning and have lost another 1lb, so am very pleased. Today is quite horrible as DS has gone to spend father's day with my ex and I'm missing him already. I'm whiling away the hours till 5 by drinking black coffee with sweetner and surfing the net. I have some TV on the sky+ to catch up on too. I can't see me resisting junk food today tho.
Have had toast for breakfast and have HM LF sauasge casserole and HM wedges for my dinner tonight. Not sure what lunch will be yet. Am going to have another good week tho - 3 exercise sessions, meal plans done.
Have a good one all

Prophecy_grrl Well done on the lb loss, great progress. Hope you mange your day okay, can you maybe go for a walk/swimming/outing to keep your mind off things as well as get some exercise?
Mummy2mygirls Welcome to the thread, my biggest tip for you would be to make up BIG batches of LF soup once a week and portion up, freeze some, put some in the fridge. Then you always have a healthy lunch in minutes no faffing about which is very helpful when breastfeeding as one can operate microwaves one handed! Don't forget breastfeeding only uses around 300 calories extra a day and that is VERY easily overestimated (I know, that's how I got so big, I just thought I could eat what I wanted when pregnant/breastfeeding and I got to 14 1/2 stone!).
Made Weetabix cake last night (almost fat free, until you put butter on of course) but am taking it to the in laws so hopefully won't eat too much myself. Fathers day today so I expect DH will choose a takeaway full of grease (he's worked all weekend at his parents house so he deserves it!) and I imagine I will have trouble avoiding joining in!
Breakfast = Poached egg on HM WM toast plus a slice of toast and Jam.
Snack = Weetabix cake.
Lunch = No idea yet as we'll probably be out and about so I will try to choose the healthiest thing in Tesco that doesn't need cooking (any ideas?), preferable NOT a sandwich!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Hi Miss Penny Pincher - I make my LF cheese sauce like this: Put some skimmed milk in a jug and stir in some cornflour that has been slackened with a bit of the milk. Heat in microwave for 1 min, stir, put back in and repeat till thickened. Then stir in a bit of mustard, salt & black pepper and half fat grated cheese. Not as nice as proper cheese sauce (made with butter, full fat milk and full fat cheese!) but it's a lot less fattening!! I use for cauli cheese and also a pasta sauce.
Whilst making a flying visit on here I may as well confess! I have just had a bourbon biscuit with my coffee!! I buy biscuits for DH that I don't normally eat eg, figs, shortbread & bourbon so that I am not tempted but, when I am on a diet, even they taste good!!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. thanks travellingabuela - it does sound similar to ragz - I want to try it. dont stress about the biscuit - we are all human ;-) 1 wont do much harm at around 55cals x0 -
Thanks all for the welcome
There is always so many different advice on how many calories when breastfeeding - my plan is just to eat when hungry but cut out all the biscuits and cakesand just go for healthier options when I can.
But im not doing great so far as today I had to take dd3 and ds to the drs as they are poorly and ended up getting a KFC:o:o opps.......I WILL try harder.......
What kind of LF soups do you all like? Ive never made soup beforeJust any veg you have in??
