Hmmm not good this week. Nothing lost but I did go off course a bit with being away for a couple of days. I've done a bit more walking this week and some gardening, (when will the soil dry out??? too heavy to dig and just squashing flat when I step on it:()
Has any one got a way of working out 'mileage' on local walks? I've been using google but it doesn't really work on footpaths and cycleways. I'd like to work out how far I'm walking and maybe step up the speed:eek::rotfl::rotfl: Well, I can try can't I?
    Good luck everyone:beer:

I use mapmyrun website - you can get it to "follow the roads" or else turn that off and show it where you cut between houses etc ;)

It's free and you can save your usual walks and log each day that you do a specific walk.

Oh and you can mark it as a Walk too, rather than a run !!

was running late, so have got mystery lunch-sized portion of something from the freezer. might be pasta......

Thanks newlywed for the walking info, will take a look later. Apart from Doctor's orders for me to do an hour's walking a day (note to self - do an hour's walking per day), me & OH try to fit in a nice amount of walking at the weekend so mileage would be useful.

Thats really funny! I once defrosted cheese sauce to make a lasagne only for it to be cream saved for adding to soups and bolognese.... not the same thing at all!

    Today
Bfast - weetabix (so gone off weetabix)
lunch - cheese seeded roll and salad
    tea - HM veggie lasagne
Snack - japanese crackers from graze box

:TThanks for that link. Isn't mse wonderful? you ask a question and someone always knows! Brilliant, I'll have fun working out my various little walks, then I just have to get out and do them! I liked the comment about taking short cuts too. So I'm not the only one?:D
And nice to know I'm not the only one to stick things in freezer, being SURE that I'll know what it is.... usually it's dregs in little pots that I add to the next slow cooker concoction. DH calls it my cauldron...cheek!:)

Hi guys, think this topic may be just what im looking for,i would like to lose around 10-14lbs..none of the slimming clubs are enticing me.WW pro-points is very confusing SW classes(well the one i attended recently)give no advice, just clap hands for every weight loss/gain stay the same)
last night i discovered my local Tesco has one of those big height/weigh machines,so im gonna "go it alone" and pay 50p for a "weigh in" rather than £5 odds at a club.I found a site suggesting if i stick to 1477 calories a day then a should lose 14lbs by mid June..id be happy with that,so for me its gonna be old fashioned calorie counting, how is everyone else doing it OS.?,calorie counting or sticking to 3 healthy meals a day,?.looking forward to reading through the posts...gonna take me a while, but itl keep me away from snacking.:)
            Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.
Week 10,total weightloss is now 13.5lbs Week 11 STSweek 14(I think)..-2, total loss now 1 stone exactly
            GOT TO TARGET..1/2lb under now weigh 10st 6.5(lost 1st 3.5lbs)
          3. Hi All

I woudl like to join please. I have about 5 stone to lose and am really struggling. Planning to walk after work today.

I am usually starving by the time I get home from work and grab the first and easier thing I can get my hands on - usually chocolate or biscuits. My first plan is to change that by having soup ready that i can easily heat up before I get set with making the evening meal etc.
Not sure of my current weight but will weigh myself later and post.
            Thanks for all the inspiration.
            Allie
