    hope your feeling better newlywed.

I'm back on track this week, did an enoumous shop on saturday so no need to go out again until NY.

Sat: was running around all day so had a late beans on toast for Brunch & scampi & chips (oven cooked) for tea before falling asleep on sofa at about 8pm :rotfl:

Sun: cooked brekkie, soup for lunch and then HM paella.

Mon: hot oat cereal, 1 rice cracker, 1/2 tin of soup, frozen ready meal lunch and 1 chicken leg & rice dinner (lunch wasn't good but was snow induced;))

    Tue:
    B: hot oat cereal
L: tin of soup & hot pastie
    S: crisps
    D: S&K pud & veg

Tommorrow is planned as the same as today minus the pastie and with chilli for Dinner.

Hope you are all coping in this weather and lots of will power to you.

    Hi everyone - welcome Nikki!

    Today's food looks like this:
B: Cup of tea + rice milk, 1 slice toast with spread + golden syrup
L: 1 tea cake with 2 tbsp hummus + salad
S: Mince pie + cup of tea with rice milk
D: Lots of stodge today so understandably not much appetite now! Thinking of a couple of rye crispbreads with olives and bowl of salad.

Will be more fresh food tomorrow I should think as I feel the lack of it today.
Love and compassion to all x

Try to steer clear of pastry. Or if you really love it, scrape off half the pastry and put it in the bin before you take your plate to the table. If you make a quiche yourself, you can make it with no pastry, just pour the beaten eggs with whatever filling, into the quiche tin :)

You could try using filo pastry as a lighter alternative - but I'm not sure I could give up the pastry, Frugal, as it's my favourite bit! I think I would be more likely to just have a smaller piece :p x

Hi all :D I got home and managed to resist my usual "Omg i'm home must eat everything!!" feast. Said no to the wine, cake and guiness, just had one delicious russian chocolate! Braved the snow to get some cottage cheese for tomorrow too.
I'll admit I did try two other russian chocs but I didn't like them so didn't eat them :p:

b: boiled egg & cottage cheese
l: pile of cold roast beef when i got in the door!
d: little bit beef mince, carrots, green beans
    s: one choc!

    Hi folks :D

Long time no see! I admit I have been very bad for a whole month so the change starts here and now. You might think its an odd time of year to start again but all of the work parties and nights out are over so OH and I are back to normal meal planning and eating again so we are 100% in control.

We have done the shopping for Christmas and there are virtually no junk-extras apart from a box of Matchmakers and 8 beers. No fancy cheeses, no expensive nuts that nobody eats, its all good stuff to make real meals instead of the grazing thing that causes untold problems for my waistline :rotfl:

B: 2 wholemeal toast, no butter, light cream cheese

L: HM Spanish rice with added veggies

D: HM chicken and chickpea curry with brown rice

Welcome to all new folk I missed and well done to those that carried on successfully :T

Can I join in please? Been lurking for ages and I'm amazed how you are all still battling on in this very cold weather! Well done to all of you:A
I must lose weight (about 3 stone if I'm honest) and don't seem to be getting anywhere on my own. Weight goes up and down by about 3lbs. I've lost weight before with SW and put it all on again so have decided that it's the commitment of getting weighed every week and (hopefully!) some encouragement from others. (Can't afford slimming clubs and we all know the theory!)
I was going to start(again!) in the New Year but thought by 'signing in' here and now it might rein me in a bit over the next difficult week. So that I mightn't lose anything but hopefully I won't put any more on. (Carvery meal with 'the girls' booked today:() Good luck to everyone. Feel like I've just joined AA!:D Want to be slim for summer....

Welcome Eenymeeny - I find having to think about what I have eaten and admitting to it on here really does help me, even if its not at the time! ie raiding the cupboard and then thinking I didn't need that. But in the long run I'm not kidding myself so can tackle my bad times.

Hi Floyd, you are good starting again now! I had loads of meals from 10th to 18th but have been much better this week, although I think next week will be bad as portion control will go out of the window and we do have lots of snacky things in...

    Hi to everyone else.

    Today:
    B: hot oat cereal
S: 4 biscuits with tea - well the pack was open :o
L: tin of soup & 2 small slices of bread
    S: crisps small pack
D: meatballs in jar of sauce with pasta (in slow cooker)

Have been drinking a lot of wine in the evenings which is because it is in the house - will all be gone by NY when I intend to be a lot better.

Hi everyone :) Welcome EenyMeeny and welcome back Floyd!

Mlz, I just realised you have meant New Year... I was beginning to think I had missed news that you were moving to New York :rotfl:

    Today:
Must make up for pastry + bread fest yesterday turned out to be
First thing: got up an hour earlier and did 30 minutes of Yoga, then had a hot water and lemon
B: 30g instant oats made with water + ground mixed spice
L: 2 rye crispbreads with 1 tbsp each of peanut butter + a smear of hm guacamole, bowl of mixed salad sprinkled with smoked paprika. Cup of earl grey with rice milk + 1 pear.
S: Have a loaf of HM rye, corn and oat bread cooling so will most likely be testing a slice of that, with 1 tsp spread too - yum!
D: Tofu + veg stir fry with 3 tbsp rice. If I am still hungry I will have another pear.
Love and compassion to all x

Thanks for the kind welcomes. I must tell you that it has helped already. Passed on the Yorkshire puddings, one roastie- which wasn't cooked properly so I left it and the beef was tough so I left that too! No pudding either, so a colossal drop in calories to what I would have had if I hadn't signed in here. Now I just have to keep it going! Good luck to everyone over this testing time and a merry Christmas to you all.
