  • Hello All
Just been having a quick read trying to catch up with how everyone is doing.
I had a slight gain last week (probably because I stopped counting the calories). Wasn`t too worried about it though.
Haven`t really felt like doing too much exercise because I`ve had a cough now for a couple of weeks.
Don`t think having the heating on all day at home helps. Seems to dry the air out. Have to have it on though because I work from home and am sitting at my desk most of the time.
Cold air outside wasn`t helping too much either. Anyway it`s warming up a bit now.
Good news is that I`ve weighed in at home this morning and I have lost another 1.5 lbs. That takes my total to 7.5lbs. Only 2.5lbs to reach my mini goal of 10lbs before Christmas. Two weeks to go - do you think I`ll make it?
Feeling tired this morning so haven`t been to the gym. Was at A & E last night with DD`s Fiance and didn`t get home until late. He hurt his ankle at work and found out he`s got a bad sprain and a hairline fracture. They sent him home with some crutches. Lets hope it heals quickly.
Got to get ready for work now. Have a good day everyone.

Must do some house work tonight and write out xmas cards and decide on what xmas pressie's to buy - oh barhumbug to it all!

Hope you managed to get some done. If you have you`re better than me. Have bought some pressies - need to find time to wrap them.
Have cards to write on but there`s always something else to do.
Lots of housework to do too and don`t even start me on the ironing mountain:eek:
We`ll get there in the end we always do. :)

    Hey everyone,

room for another? I had joined the slimming world thread and was doing it myself at home. Was doing really well for the first 6weeks, had 1 decent loss then a few little ones then i kept going over my syns or had an extra healthy extra and since then i've gained and lost the same 2lb. I just dont think sw was for me, i kept tweaking foods to suit me and wasnt actually eating that healthily mainly just processed quick n easy stuff, although i did find some really nice recipies. So i'm gonna go back to good old calorie counting and exercise.
I've set my calories at 1500 a day and aim to do 10,000steps or 7,000plus 30mins on wii fit. I'll be back later with my food plan for the day.

    Hello and welcome.
I`m counting calories too. I try to stick to 1700 a day because I have a lot a of weight to lose and didn`t want to start off too low.
Your plan sounds a good one.

    Hi All,
Imataloss I didn't do xmas stuff that night but have not got a fair amount done at the weekend. I also found a great xmas hat that says BAR-HUMBUG on the rim, it was a £1 and it makes me smile!

nickynoo I'm the same can't stick to diets normally, did a 2 week one recently as had put on a load of weight quickly and wanted to shift it quickly. But now back to good old calories so I can't kid myself.

I've had a bad morning, didn't sleep well as a couple of issues over took me and so 'got out the wrong side of bed' this morning. Had a bacon and sausage bap with tommy sauce which made the morning feel a bit better and now seem to have a grip of myself again.

Not going to do a food plan today and have 2 xmas meals this week, Tues & Thurs, so will just try and be sensible throughout the week and cross my fingers for a weigh-in on friday.

Hope everyone else is hanging onto their willpower :D

    Hi
Glad you found something to smile about. :)
We now have the tree up (DS Girlfriend did it on Saturday night) and a few Santa`s around. Looks a bit more like Christmas in here.
Lots of wrapping to do and cards to write still. Hoping to make a start tomorrow night after work.
Still not got much energy due to the cough I`ve had for over 2 weeks, so that isn`t helping much. :(
I had a sausage and tomato sandwich this morning (it was quite late so I`m counting it as lunch). I know what you mean about the morning feel a bit better.
Enjoy your Christmas meals and good luck with your weigh in of Friday.

Evening everyone thanks for the welcome:D

Well the last couple of days have gone well i went slightly over my cals but made up for it by doing more steps and 30mins on the wii each night too so i think or at least hope i've done enough to cancel out my lil hiccups.
Was very pleased today, went to a friends i've not seen for a while and she noticed i'd lost weight so when i got home i decided to try a pair of trousers i got in the summer that were far too tight and they fit (just). I reckon a few more pounds and they'll be lovely on.

    So today i've had.....

    B - cereal and crissoant(sp? you know what i mean!) 550cals
    L - spicy tomato n lentil soup 210cals
T - cheese tortellini and light philly for sauce 550cals
    S - mini bag of haribos 50cals?
Plus 3 cuppas at 20cals each

    So thats 1420cals used (ish)
Plus i've done 7000 steps so far then i'll be doing 30mins on the wii after little uns have gone to bed.

Good luck for those who have their wi's

    Welcome Nicky :)

    Yesterday:
B: Wasn't hungry (very unlike me) so just had a cup of tea with rice milk. Considered making myself eat somethng but really didn't fancy it so thought I'd see how i went and just eat later... went all the way to lunch around 2pm.
L: A toasted teacake with a scraping of spread. Had a bag of crisps I'm afraid as fancied salty.
D: About 6 potato wedges. All I really fancied were olives and nuts so had about 2 dozen green olives and palmful of mixed cashews and peanuts.

    Today:
B: Cup of tea with rice milk and hm crisp cereal bar
L: a small handful of pasta with olives and cashews + drizzle of EV olive oil. A bit later, finished the slice of toast with peanut butter and jam DD left. Black coffee.
D: Later on, we will be having couscous with mixed bean salad + watercress on the side.
Love and compassion to all x

Hiya boodle thanks for the welcome:)

Well i'm a bit gutted today, made a bit of an error when i was doing my food diary so i've ended up going 300cals over my limit:(. So no evening snack for me and it looks like i'll doing some damage limitation tomoro.

    So today went like this....

    B - cereal and 2toast - 400cals
L - pasta with tom sauce and bit of cheese (this is where i went wrong, my online diary said it was 240cals but was more 400! 600cals!!!!
T - rest of pasta and tom sauce 600cals!!!
    S - 2granary bread with wafter thin ham 200cals
    Total 1800cals, instead of 1500:(

On the plus side i've done 9000 steps today so far and i'm yet to go on the wii so it may not be that bad. (i hope:o)

  • hi everyone, i'm new to the boards- Have been lurking for ages, and after having a ridiculously lazy day off work, have spent all day wandering through the different posts and on seeing this one, was inspired to cancel my online weightwatchers subscription, in exchange for naming and shaming my eating habits on here!

Now, today has been hideously bad (going hand in hand with the lazy day on the sofa), so in order to not make myself look too bad on my first post, yesterday was:

    B- Rice krispies and banana
L- HM Veggie soup and little bag of chilli rice cakes
D- Prawn and veggie stirfry, with noodles and a bit of sweet chilli sauce
    S- grapes, muller rice pot

    Today, however (say it quietly)
B- 2x slices of toast and pate (at least it was wholemeal bread!)
    L- 2x cheese rolls
    D- 2x bacon rolls
    S- 2x toast and jam
Bread overload!- It has been brilliant though!

Smiley faces and small waves to all fellow weight-losers! :)
