  • As for the New Dr Who..:( I saw him on Jonathon Ross last night- lacks a lot really. *sigh*

    Thanks about the tea thing...

The new Dr Who is just a bit too young for me to feel comfortable to find attractive. I'd feel like a dirty old woman! Having said that...I don't find him attractive....

Well on the Tea front - i am still on Tesco value :) I ran out and had to spend a whole 28p on another lot. I fair missed it to, so I can recommend them as an alternative ( and i was a die hard Typhoo girl ;) )
Still with you on that BOB and its nice to hear from you again. We both now drink the SP teabags and think they are fine and when i go to work and drink Tetley i find them a bit too strong so they would def get double dipped if not more
And same feelings about new Dr Who didnt really really fancy David but he had that twinkle and flair about him but lets give the new boy a chance we may change our minds eh? And if we fancy him we can be cougars never been one before might be fun lol

However mr artybear is much better looking so maybe I will stick with him for a while and let you older ladies teach him a thing or two (like how to bake bread and cheap curries)!!! lol

I bought tesco value for my brother and is verdict was, ''not too shabby'' so seems like they are okXXX

The shavng bit was quite gross and poor weezl went green! I didnt know she was "with ferg" then or indeed when we had the last night party having invented a rather kicking cocktail so ca claim to have given Ferg his first sip of alcohol!! Think he likes it as she has two...ahh those were the days! Have just finished sewing up 200+ squares and my eyes dont seem to be workig well so its off to bed for me! Sleep tight all!

Murrell, what do you do about saturated fat? Do you have a target amount? Is coconut/palm your main source? :)

    Hi,
We don't have a target amount. We just eat what we do and assume we don't get too much or too little. We have cocoa in hot chocolate and occasional chocolate bars, We have a bit of unsweetened desicated coconut on our oats in a morning and use in in kitchari, which is supposed to be once a week on our meal plan, but we haven't made it recently. I occasionally eat avocado (if found on the reduced rack) as a chocolate pudding, just mixing it with dates/cocoa/agave syrup. Hubby doesn't like avocado and won't try the pudding as he likes to know whats in anything new he trys!! I don't usually make anything with coconut milk/cream in, although I do make a peanut butter banana 'ice cream' in the summer. (just banana, peanut butter, coconut milk and vanilla essence). We like to avoid palm fat due to environmental reasons, but still occasionally buy processed products with it in.
I certainly wouldn't worry about the amount for any of the plans.

I also lurked in the 50p thread a lot of the time, but not to the very end. I don't think I ever posted! I did try a few recipes though.

Just popping in, haven't caught up totally

Meal was a great success, everyone LOVED the pizzas (afraid it was a jamie oliver recipe for the dough! though not sure how that is different from yours). Breadsticks went down very well and pretty much all of the cake was devoured. Putting a few dollops of chutney onto a pizza is delish! The bean pate dip didn't go down so well unfortunately, I think it was the look of it, would be better in a sarnie!

The carrot cake was great with the lard. I made a half recipe, pretty much according to your recipe but using 100g of lard (would be 200 in the whole recipe) and using the same amount of flour but adding in 50g of the oat cereal as well, it still says light but adds that extra texture I think it needed to make up for the oiliness. I didn't tell anyone it was lard ;)

So, time for bed, it is technically 1:30am BST and I have to be at church in 7 hours making bacon sandwiches for the kids going out for a mystery day!

(I have to admit to reading all about pig=head-gate, I didn't really get involved then but was enjoying the show!)

Sweet dreams to anyone else still up!
