I guess my suggestion is that you give people a budgeted amount of teabags and then they have to make them last.

Just looking on mysupermarket. We buy a box of 480 and that costs £5.99. (Obviously value would be cheaper) We certainly don't use more than that a month for 6 people.

How much did you say the planner was spending weezl?

hey all just doing some spreadsheet work.

Really concerned about the tea survey results and how to accomodate that amount of tea in a subsistence planner. Bob and Shirl are paying 30p a day for everyone to have 5 cuppas a day :( it's over 9% of the budget  Nearly a tenner over the month....

I'm just wondering what people think here, am I trying too hard to cater for this?

    Any thoughts welcomed!

Not to be too picky but where are you getting 5 cups a day if B&S are at work and kids at school? That should limit it somewhat shouldn't it or am i missing something?. They prob will up this at the weekend unless we can find some cheap activity to keep them out all day and then they can take tap water with them. (Weezls new thread cheap days out for Shirl et al:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

On the spreadsheet it says that 320 teabags are costing Bob & Shirl £1.12. I'm now a bit lost as to what the fuss is all about...or is it the cost of the milk that's the problem?

Dont think anyone could be as good as Mr Tennant!!!:D

However I did say that about Christopher Eccleston and then changed my allegiance-I am so fickle!!:o

Teagate-I think its how much milk goes into the tea rather than the teabags themselves???

  • Well on the Tea front - i am still on Tesco value :) I ran out and had to spend a whole 28p on another lot. I fair missed it to, so I can recommend them as an alternative ( and i was a die hard Typhoo girl ;) )
