Hi, I'm a bit worried I offended you earlier, I'm sorry if I did, I was typing in a rush and didn't put as many smileys in so I hope that didn't sound brusque.

I truly appreciate all the offers of help I'm getting, and any disinclination is only about trying to spare someone else the bother of flogging a dead horse!

    HTH :)

please dont worry you havent offended me in the slightest :) -Im not quite as good with the written word as you are and the way I worded it was probably a bit off putting. To be honest I probably was thinking that you have done sooooo much tooth combing what else could I possibly come up with. Believe me tho no offence taken and stop worrying, you got enough to be thinking about ;)

On a different note and one that has been troubling me, what is the difference between leos dried peas and the bag of marrowfat peas? Your plan has introduced me to the wonders of dried peas and I now have scrummy pea (Leos) soup all portioned up in the fridge -When I put marrowfat peas into mysupermarket it asked me if I wanted to save 2,140 calories

Ok my maths is rusty but here goes...

For four people to have a RDA of 2.4g of NA = 9.6 per day

    9.6x31 (days in the month) = 297.6

297.6-38.75 (bacon Na content for four people) = 258.85

ok so we have 8 bags of flour needing 15g of NaCl (just going to take that as sodium at the mo) = 120

258.85-120= 138.85 of NA left per month for four which is 34.7 per person a month

Therefore they each have 1.11 g of salt per day left which will go on salt in cooking/sauces or will allow them to have a nice low salt diet which is healthy!!

Iv tried to show all my workings to keep everyone up to date and think it is right-however if wrong let me know please.

Oh Weezl the pokers never over-my OH is semi-pro so he plays everyday lol!! Does mean I get lovely treats thoughXXXX

I'm thinking of turning in but a few of you seem up for researching further!

So some possible extra tasks if people fancy it; QUITE A FEW PEOPLE HAVE SUGGESTED SUGAR REDUCTIONS TO THE oops caps lock sorry! carrot cake and weetabix loaf. Coukl anyone use the search this thread facility to see how much sugar could be lost if these changes were made? we are making a double batch over the month ie 64 portions :)

A look at whether I've over reduced the protein by axing the meat would be helpful too, but search for fire foxes posts about protein first as she has worked on this already!

Lots of love and sleep well all :)

PS carrot cake freezes beautifully and is lovely and fudgy when defrosted :)

I'm sorry I can't help with all the nutritional and maths-y bits. It's all beyond me I'm afraid, but you're all doing an awesome job. I'll keep going with recipe testing whenever I can though. We had the sweetcorn fritters tonight, so I'm just off to fill in my survey now.
