Its all clear as mud. My child is 104 Q3 and depending on who you talk to it ranges from an A, B1 or B2. :rotfl:
Well I certainly hope its not a B2:eek:0 -

Me too. I'm classing it as a B1 but living in hope that its an A.:rotfl:
Edith, I don't envy your situation. We are all dealing with one child and here you are with 2 in the same situation.0 -
Do they have prep schools. It looks like a lot of schools that are doing banding or pooling are doing it so their prep pupils get a place.
Nope, no prep school. The majority of grammar schools in our area are using the 90%/10% method, unfortunately for us!! I think they must have all got together and decided to go with this. Can I just encourage everyone to keep posting on this thread until D Day. I am finding it a great source of support and information. I, for one, know that my colleagues are sick to the teeth of hearing me go on and on and on about transfer stuff!0 -

Methody are banding:
"Applicants will first be placed in rank order based on their results in the CEA. Higher scores willprecede lower scores. Applicants will then be sub-divided into bands of 5 marks."

With any school that is using bands they will take in rank order until the band that includes the final place, then admission criteria is used to determine who in that band is admitted.0 -
in 2009, 91 a's, 17 B1's, 26 B2's and 20 c1's so this is encouraging though 2008 116 a's, 30 b1's and only 6 b2's so DOH!! dont have a clue0

Kingston, I'll be here until the day and hour I get that letter. I just know that my colleagues are dreading seeing me tomorrow. They haven't seen me since Wednesday so have missed the whole debacle of me revisiting 3 schools. It will take me until lunchtime for them to hear about that. :rotfl:
Ni Mum, I just knew I'd missed something about Methody. What does that all mean then? :eek:0
