I'm still pretty positive. I too have heard rumours and all lead me to think that schools have taken well down quintiles so trying not to lose hope now (after all 'God will find a way')!!!!!!:)

In the last week I have heard so many more rumours and speculations that it is becoming ridiculous, many of which contradict each other. It has gone in to overdrive!!

Just keep faith and hope and in my dreams a franked Methody envelope drops through the letter box!!:j

My daughter wants to open the envelopes herself and as she sleeps like a student - I might have to wait for her to wake up rather than the postman. On results morning, the post arrived at 8.15 and she crawled out of her bed at 10. I had promised that she could open it in her own time and I was literally sitting on the top of the stairs listening for any signs of movement so we could get the envelope opened!!

Someone asked about the nights that schools are holding - check quickly, I know that for example Methody have already had theirs, my sister in law was at it.

Someone said that this year they were issuing grades - just checked Methody's website and they are talking about scores and doing the same narrow further 5 score banding they did this year!

The stress must have got to me last night....lol I haven't reached for the vodka bottle yet........If I did I might just get banned from this sight....Ah the wonders of Copy and paste. (Not crazy enough yet for typing it all out.)

The story helps me accept that whatever happens, it could probably be the best for my daughter rather than what I think is best. Though that won't stop me going down every avenue to have her placed where I feel she will thrive and succeed in life.

School that is cutting off is Dalriada but there is no suprise in that as it has turned away A grades in the past and as we only have a choice of 2 grammars it was inevitable they would cut off high. You lot in the Belfast area will be laughing all the way to the uniform shops with the number of schools you have to choose from. So don't worry, if Dalriada is taking down to 104 you can be sure other schools will go lower, supply and demand!!

Hello, my name is Neveranymoney and I am an AQE Obsessive. Have I spent the morning doing anything constructive? No, I've logged on to find out more about this living Hell! How the heck is it only thursday, I don't think I can cope with two more sleeps. Everyone I know who isn't going through this is blatantly not interested or thinks I've gone crackers, I said to my husband last night that I was getting into a right old tiz about it all and the response I got was, 'well, theres no point, the school has already been allocated and we'll just have to live with it'. Wise words I feel if I'm being honest, but he just doesn't get it! I keep thinking that its all going to be grand, we'll get one of our top 3 choices and then I think why am I being optimistic? It's not my natural state and I'll only be heading for a fall, ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGH.
