AQE Exam Results

I've just nabbed the female mail man and she has said that if she takes overtime on saturday, (please do, postwoman, please do) she will drop the sacred letter(s) off at the start of her shift and I checked Warnocks website just for the sheer hell of it and they do two of my grammar school choices - no prices though.

I'm really getting nervous/excited now, I don't like mentioning it too much in front of my daughter, but I did ask did they discuss it in school and where does she think shes going to to go. The answers were: no, no one talks about it and that she'll end up 'somewhere'. I can't decide if she is blocking it out or genuinely couldn't care less at the minute! What is concerning me is that the headmaster told us he would be suprised if she didn't get into a grammar school 'somewhere', which makes me think he knows her score isn't good enough for our first two choices, but might be fore others. That is reason we put down so many schools, I was gripped by a moment of madness, what can I say?!

Apparently the primary schools receive notification of allocated grammar/secondary schools the day before we receive the letters. Do anyone know if this is true?

Ex-Spendaholic, yes my eldest is in 2nd form at Methody. So I'm really hoping that I get them both into the same school.

not sure if this true. My dau headmaster did not have the AQE results until the Monday after the Saturday but it would be interesting if it was.

Yeah I imagine the primary schools will have the information the Friday. Personally if I had any power I would stop ours having it as they have done naff all to help either the kids or parents during the process. :mad:
