That doesnt count the tins of tuna we go thru and Dd has that mackrel as well.
I feel a bit stupid really, there is no need for that amount of food to be stored in my house!Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -

Really? I think he's dead sexy striding down the corridors all in black. Almost as good as him running through the corridors in leather pants in Robin Hood.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

You should come round to mine on a Wednesday when the fish man comes! Fresh natural smoked haddock & scrambled eggs for breakfast
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Z~What kitchin utensils did you buy then?
Difficult to recall exactly (it's been a while)
Toaster
Frying pan
Spatula
Little pan
Big pan
Big stock pot
Potato masher
Knive set
I'm sure I still have one of the knives of the knife set - the blade is so thin you can cut the top and bottom off a carrot in one chopping motion..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I can christen my new line tomorrow by washing the fleece blanket on the bed. We use a large lump of fleece, purchased off the roll in the fabric shop. You double it up over the bed, under the duvet but above the bottom sheet and sleep in it. Very toasty. We always use it when camping but only occasionally during the winter at home. This winter has been so cold that I've had it on the bed loads. Without a tumble dryer it takes too long to dry so I've bitten the bullet and spent £16 today on another 4 meters of polar fleece so I can wash the current one on the bed.
We do have a smaller spare bit of fleece we use under our airbed when camping but it isn't big enough to comfortably go in our double bed if we want it under and over us, as we are currently still doing. Now I've splashed out £16, perhaps I will bring about a spring thaw?
Whilst I was in the shop I saw two other people purchase polar fleece - word is clearly getting around. I can't imagine winter without some tucked into the bed.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0 -
Food shopping is the one area where I'm struggling to reduce what we spend. I'd live on basics quite happily, but DH wont. I think he lived that way as a child, so struggles to go back to living that way now.
Do it on the taste and the additives.
The cheap stuff just doesn't have the additives of the expensive things (they can't afford them...)
But honestly, "Basic" sweetcorn is no different from "Between the knees of Vestigal Virgins" sweetcorn..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
