yep, thats life though
What also really made me feel sad today was after chatting to friend at work about shopping etc she turned around and said Ive got to do the shopping this week on £120....she did say that was a bit insensitive after but just really touched a raw nerve with me today.
right not going to wallow
See I think £120 on food is an astronomical amount.....

thing is Sal, even if you had £120 to spend on 1 weeks shopping you wouldn't do it because you know the value of money.
Hugely embarrassing to admit but when I was with my ex, we probably spent £100+ a week on shopping for the 2 of us. Prime this, Finest that. Sunday was nearly almost always a starter and main course. Lots of alcohol. Lots of branded crisps and snacks. Nothing processed/ready meals but no cheap cuts of meat and lots of wastage.
Appalling really........
My ex still spends around £60-£80 per week - on himself."Stay Wonky":D

But if you have the money to spend then whats appalling about it? I can spend about £60 a week on food quite happily - to me I would rather eat very well, lots fish, fruit and veg and be healthy than worry about spending less...
But I can afford to - when I was a student I had a £6 a week food budget - god it was grim0 -
See I agree Sammy I wouldn't ever spend £120 on food, we couldn't possibly eat all that food in a week. I am enjoying not spending as much on food, but there are times when it would be nice just to go in and think, ah I can't be bothered to cook tonight Ill have a nice steak, bottle of wine, some tasty ice cream.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
