It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
But if you have the money to spend then whats appalling about it? I can spend about £60 a week on food quite happily - to me I would rather eat very well, lots fish, fruit and veg and be healthy than worry about spending less...
But I can afford to - when I was a student I had a £6 a week food budget - god it was grim
Yep I do agree Becky...the biggest amount of my shopping is fresh fruit and veg and I refuse not to buy it. I have however had to buy market value stuff which I wouldn't have done before...in fact the apples are nicer and bananas sometimes a bit bruised but fineI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

I had £100 to last 10 weeks. I blew £50 of it on cooking utensils...
Of course in those days, a quid was worth a little bit more than it is worth now..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

To be fair I also dont have a freezer - pushes the cost up as you have to buy everything fresh which can be expensive...0

Food shopping is the one area where I'm struggling to reduce what we spend. I'd live on basics quite happily, but DH wont. I think he lived that way as a child, so struggles to go back to living that way now.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:
