Lie-ins and children

If my husband scrubbed the hob every time he was displeased I would be displeasing him more often.
My OH and I have different ideas of what a lie in should be. I am an earlier riser and generally get by on 5-6 hours sleep whereas he needs 8 during the week and at least 10 at the weekend. He gets more lies in than me as a result but he needs them more than I do so it's fine. I do throw the head up occasionally and DEMAND that I don't get up but I end up getting up anyway before they all wreck the place.

Glad you sorted it out anyway.

Thats what i was thinking, Becles as a mum your on call 24/7, does Craig get up in the night if one of the kids needs him or is it always you first?0

Oh you poor thing. Please don't let ANYONE shout at you or the kids, hubby or not. Families are noisy, he's in the wrong not you. That's what I struggle with. I've got three children and two dogs. He likes a lie in on Saturdays and Sundays and I try really hard to keep everyone quiet but he usually gets woken up and comes down and shouts at us all

A lie in? Not had one of them since 2nd September last year (See my sig for the reason why!) TBF some mornings he does sleep til 8.30am but not without a few wake ups in the night.
I don't get a lie in Saturday or Sunday - OH has his lie in both days til about 10.30am which does my head in a bit. Last Saturday I had the 2 of us up, breakfasted, out the door, big shop at ASDA & Farmfoods and home and shopping unpacked before he got up!
He works full time so I don't mind too much but when I go back to work in June (:() it WILL all change, I'll get a lie-in!!!
I just think forward to when J is older and wants Daddy up at 7am to go play footy! :rotfl:A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

It's usually me but he does get up if he hears before me and doesn't think I'm going to wake up.
I think it'll be easier after October once uni is finished and I get back on top of things, and I'll not mind so much. This last year is really tough. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Can't fault that reasoning. :rotfl:Deleted_User wrote: »somestimes our opinions differ and i just assume i'm right and he's wrong, because i'm female.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
We started to have the chance of a lie-in once we'd trained the 3 little Luxors to stay in bed till the digital clock said '7.00' - our lie-in being from approx 5.30 till 7.00 - oh, the joys of having 3 early birds

Actually, once it gets to about 8am, I'm bored ... DH, on the other hand, could just lie there all day  no idea what he does to get so tired (or boring)I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0
