Me personally, i am just lonely.

In desperation and without guidance i hereby declare that i am about to use the first company that Google displayed when i searched for HSBC PPI Claims.

    "dpaclaims"

I will report back and let you know if they are any good.

And how will dealing with unqualified, barely regulated students paid a commission for sign ups going to help?

Anyone like that can get help easily for free . No claims Company will fill in forms for the illiterate.

Don't bother, we already know they all charge exorbitantly for the "service" they provide.

Are you sure you're prepared to forgo at least 25% (plus VAT) of any redress you might win just so you can contribute to this thread you've bumped up from 2012?

So you can google, fill in a form on a website and submit. Surely you can send a letter to HSBC saying "I feel my PPI was mis-sold because...." and post it in a envelope with a stamp.

I'm sure you will be back in 6 months having a moan they have invoiced you for £1000.

Well you can post on here, you can use a laptop/computer/phone and you can google:T

as for being lonely - there are plenty of helpful MSE out there just waiting to help/advise:)

Stop being lazy and Do it yourself, :p

there are step by step guides and assistance on here, or why bother if you are going to use a company may as well tell them to keep the lot as what you receive will be a pitance:eek: compared to what you would get if you done it yourself.:)

Think of the accomplishment when you see that cheque in your hand knowing you done all the work yourself.

Go on, give it a go, you've nothing to lose as the company would take it as commission anyway.:(
Looking forward to the day I have nothing left to list on eBay

    Troll or spam?

You've only posted twice on these forums.

In 2010 you made a single post telling everyone how good a certain "cash for phones" company was .. every one disagreed with you.

Now you're advocating the use of a certain CMC . . . have you changed your job?
  • Now you're advocating the use of a certain CMC . . .
Hardly, he said he chose it at random by using Google. Personally, I think the thread was bumped simply to provoke a reaction (which it got!)
  • he said he chose it at random by using Google
    Maybe I just don't believe him . . . :)

Then again, he does say he's lonely . . .
  • I am slightly disappointed with most of the comments on here.

Whilst I agree the best option is to do this all yourself, there are some, who do not wish to and want the other option of using a 3rd party company, despite the known expense.

It seems to me, that members on this particular subject want to flame those who wish to use a company. There are a number of reasons why someone would wish to go via a company:
    • Lazy
    • Busy
    • Not really bothered, but worth a punt
I probably fit into all of those above and stumbled on this form posting after a Google search for "best PPi Company".

I believe that everyone has already commented on how bad the idea of utilising a PPI company is, but how about being constructive, rather than defamatory and allow those who have actually used a PPI company to recommend one.

I doubt many of those who have used a PPI company would want to post because of getting ridiculed.

Do you work for a claims company by any chance? I can't see any other reason for extolling the "virtues" of such chancers.

Regardless, no one here will "flame" those who use CMCs, but neither will they recommend any either.

Actually, there are regular posts by many who've used a claims co. asking how they can get away with not paying them! . . . they know no shame ;)
