Hi
New to the forum, so please be gentle.
I've read some of the great advice already given in this thread, as well as on the main site, but am still a little confused (it doesn't take a lot!).
I'm looking into making a claim against my loan supplier.
Over the last few years I have refinanced loans with my bank, do I need to make claims against each different loan agreement, or can I make multiple claims using one PPI Consumer Questionnaire? If the reasons for mis sell are the same, then do one form and put all loan numbers on.
I have applied to Experian for my credit history, as I'm unsure of dates etc. Will the data they supply include policy numbers, or will I need to contact my bank for those details?
You will only get the last 4 digits from your credit file,if you do not locate the full acccount numbers, then you can use these 4 digits.
My Wife has a loan too, would she have to make a separate claim, even though payments for both our loans are taken from a joint bank account?Your wife does her claim in her name
Ask your bank if they have the DD details for any of these loans, this will have the full account number,or just ring the banks the loans were with and see if they can find you.
when you get the account numbers, look here for reasons for mis sell and if any/all apply to you, then put a claim in.http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#step20 -

So what's the best site to read on how to start the claims and what forms to use for the ppi claims? Planning to do it on my loan and my credit cards.
Thank you all

i made a claim through my aunties ifa just before christmas and he was superb. it was very straight forward and really acceptable fee, something like 5%
My parents, myself and aunty have all used him without any problems. the reason i feel i should write here today is that he went that extra mile to help us. Now, it is possible to make your claim by yourself, thus cutting out any ifa, broker or horrible ppi company from the tv. However, it is a very time consuming process and may not be so straightforward. My aunty received a quote from a company that she found on tv, she had been awarded or offered something like 400. She then took the letter to vernon her ifa and after a few calls and letters back and forth she was awarded almost 9 grand.
so if you are in the northeast and are looking to claim id fully recommend vernon stevens. his office is on cleveland road near the hospital in sunderland. i think this is his website vernonstevens.tppowered.com but any google search on his name will bring up his office details.
hope this helps!!!0 -

Most IFAs will put in complaints as part of their normal business at no cost. So, being charged 5% is expensive. Plus, IFAs are not allowed to charge for claims management specifically. So, if he did it with an IFA hat on then he has breached regulations. There is also no *name removed due to probable spam* on the ministry of justice claims list. So, that would indicate he is acting unlawfully. However, it is a very time consuming process and may not be so straightforward.

Hi Guys I read all the way this thread looking for the best PPI Claim Company. The original post was never answered the question, everyone just says do it yourself. I spent all afternoon trying to figure out how to do it myself and have given up. I had a credit card which I got around 2005-2006 with the Cooperative Bank which included a Cardholder Protection Plan I presumed it was compulsory. I cancelled the protection plan over a year ago when I realised I had the option. I normally pay off the card every month but there has been a few times in the past when I was not able to do this, such as after some expensive foreign holidays. I only have a few old statements and have no idea where to to get copies it only goes back 3 months on line. I really cant be bothered with all this research as I have very little free time. Can anyone please suggest the PPI Claims Companies that will rip me off the least or point me toward a cheap way of getting old statement. the Coop charge £5 each.0

This is a money saving site. Not a waste of money site. You dont need a claims company.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
