As discussed before, the claim company will make you do the work, then put everything that they ask you for and provide, into an envelope and post it. They will probably charge you for postage as well.
Read the article on how to claim yourself, and do it yourself. You can esily get up on all this and then there's the 30% more to consider :)

If your complaint does go in the bin, then in eight weeks you have the right to send your complaint to the Ombudsman. The FOS can force even "Delboy" to pay up if you have a valid complaint.
Delboy should have responded to Thompy by now.
  • Hi all,

After reclaiming about £3,000 worth of bank charges a few years ago, I thought I'd return to the Money Saving Expert to enquire about PPI.

Having read through the first stages of investigating a claim, I went on to Equifax to check my previous credit agreements. The problem I seem to have is that only the last four digits of each account number is showing and as most of them were paid off several years ago, I no longer have any records of my own.

Can anyone advise me of how I can obtain details?

    Yours hopefully,

    Steve B

Send the complaint using the last 4 digits. I've seen claims dealt with on this basis before.

    Good luck

Some people are illiterate and incapable of filing their own claims.

Me personally, i am just lonely.

In desperation and without guidance i hereby declare that i am about to use the first company that Google displayed when i searched for HSBC PPI Claims.

    "dpaclaims"

I will report back and let you know if they are any good.
