£299.92 laptop at Tesco

shame you had a problem, ive had an Acer for ages now..
Murphys law as far as your concerned. These are really reliable machines and kick dell into touch. I would have sent it back myself...

I managed to get one of these laptops about 6 months ago from tescos, have been very pleased with it, but the battery life has been getting worse and worse.

It used to last about two hours but now only lasts twenty minutes fully charged.

whats everyone else's laptops like?

I have the same prob battery dusnt last long,and thats after having sent it back to Acer with that complaint.They say they put in a new battery,but i doubt it,as this ones the same as the last one.I find it dusnt matter how long i charge it for it only lasts about 30-45 mins.These laptops are only 6months old,so dear knows what they will be like within the next 6months.

Could you not return to Tesco and ask for your money back? Normally it is no questions asked ( or at least in Asda with electricals anyway)

Tesco would only giv a refund if its within the first month,but i hadnt managed to use it till 6weeks after i had bought it as the wireless router i bought had to get sent back and then i had to wait on a new one.So looks like im stuck with it.

There is a good deal with dabs its 299.98 (£307 with delivery).

Celeron 503 Chip

80GB Hard Drive
Dual Layer DVD+RW

Good spec will run Vista OK better than Tesco one above.
