Currys price promise

Can anyone help with this ?
I wanted to buy washing machine from currys price £389.99 but found it cheaper on bootskitchenappliances.com £312.00+ 19.99 delivery total £331.99. I thought currys would match the price according to their "Price Promise" Price match plus 10%difference. Currys tell me they only match Argos, Comet,Tesco John Lewis QUOTE" in fact any local store".

In last part of Price Promise it says to phone in details,

1. Name and delivery postcode
2. Product descripition and 6 digit product code.
3.Name of competitor offering better price (Local store or website)

I thought this meant any website, am I wrong. Please advise. I havent bought yet cause I thought currys could be best if I had any problems and had to return machine to currys local store.
Ps Anyone got discount code for currys. Thanks.

To be honest, Boots use DRL who are much better to deal with in my experience then Curry's if anything goes wrong!!! I would forget about the price match and just buy from Boots!

If you've read their price promise then you'll know that they only pricematch Argos, Comet, Tesco and John Lewis websites or any local store price. I thought that couldn't be any clearer. Try Comet, they'll pricematch Boots.
  • Personally, I would never buy anything big in Currys again. They took two years of badgering to return £299 they had said would be refunded to my card (I cancelled a laptop warranty within the first week). The money was eventually returned via cheque when I wrote to the managing director. No apology, no compensation and two years of stressful letter writing.

I won't go near them again.
  • Thanks for quick replies. I was going with Boots the small print put me off, if I needed to return machine it was costing £99.99. as stated in the terms and conditions., which I nearly DIDNT read.
  • I'm still shopping around and have now got Dixons at £331.99. I think they are same group as currys but I cant find local store.
  • We dont have Comet in N. Ireland. I was trying for store in case of problems then just matter of putting machine in car to return it.

Dixons don't have stores anymore, they're online only. All of their stores have been renamed Currys Digital.

You'd need a pretty big car to take a washing machine back.

Its a estate car. I'd put it in a trolley if it saved money. Lol.

In-store won't match web only prices, not too sure about the online site or telesales though.
