Thats exactly what I did relaxed and chilled out, not great for making money but we all need a day off now and again. Not much happening on the money front today and it's nearly payday I have no idea what to expect as heard lots of rumours about bonuses all though not large, some get an attendance bonus. Getting paid to turn up at work cant be bad so I will wait and see if there is any extra. I am hoping for more than I was previously paid as Im on a slightly better salary which may mean I can increase payments accordingly.
Hopefully I will know in the morning as my bank shows next day transactions so tomorrow night will be playing with the spreadsheets. Going out for dinner tomorrow hoping for pizza express as they have a voucher to celebrate DS GCSE he has taken a couple 2 years early already passed one and getting the result of the other tomorrow so I think that deserves a treat.
Ive seen others talk about it, is it too early to mention christmas !!! I have plans ;)

WELL DONE DS! Smart cookie like his mummy!

Yes that period of the year has been mentioned on my diary and several others. I too have a plan, but why am I thinking yours will be amazing!

Re Payday - I am hoping for Friday since Monday is a BH and we always seem to be paid on day before last day, isn't your DH the same?

No DH is paid on last day of the month which now means 2 days playing with spreadsheets.
Lets hope DS is smarter than me then he wont end up trying to pay back loads of debt it's ironic both his GCSE's were in maths.
We have a very expensive month coming up DH needs car tax, DS needs money for trip to spain and also DS birthday, I guess its going to be a juggling month for us as want to keep to my overpayments plan.
Ebay need to bring in plenty of cash this month already over £18 but some of that is DS

So he will not be paid until Tuesday? I thought because Monday was BH they wont be able to do BACS run and therefore I would get paid on Friday, is that just wishful thinking on my part?

Ebay is slow but steady for me but no big surprises

I nearly had it done by the end of August it was just the look on DH face and the comment "do you really need to Xmas shop in the middle of the summer"
Just double checked banking and realised I was waiting for something to come out which had already been paid so looks like an extra £47 to Lloyds in the morning, just want to make sure my wages are coming. Just remembered amazon should hit account tmorrow that should be £28 I thin that leaves me about £80 to find to reach the £4k mark.
Off to bed to dream of numbers and debt free days.

Welcome scot debs once you become focused things do start to fall into place.
Just paid £75 to cc and with just having a quick look at figures I can see wages going in tomorrow no extra but thats ok didnt expect it at the start. I think I may be sailing pretty close to the edge through september dont really want to reduce my overpayments. I think I will revisit how much we spend on food and try to live on £50 a week I did it before I can do it again so tomorrow I will draw my £200 out and see if we can get by on that. I have managed to reduce how much we use the od by £250 so there is a bit spare if I need to use it, I started allowing myself £50 less each month and it nice that its not up to the limit now i think you call that breathing space.
Have a great day all DS has chosen Indian tonight so not so cheap but its worth it.
